How beautiful and thank God you have grass trees flowers water clothing food and share where the drums come from ........because in other states...nope they racist. And nobody can celebrate with ya or dance with ya or nothing. They pure cold hearted racist....discriminating pure racist.....and they steal the drum and the land and it gotta be about them black or African American people only program in African drumming. Such a great conversation about Earle's life. I had the privilege of seeing him speak a couple of times in Austin, Texas, when he was teaching in Texas in the early nineties, including during the Zapatista uprising of 1994, and it was enlightening. I remember him almost breaking down recalling the nightmarish tortures visited upon his Maya friends as Guatemala and the US embarked on the Reagan-launched genocide of indigenous people in Guatemala of the early eighties. As Earle says, as soon as Reagan got into office, the massacres and tortures began. It was nice to learn in this interview about Earle's background.

Marymount should’ve stayed as a 2 year transfer. Your ego of becoming a 4-year UNI killed the school. A lot of us blame you for that.

What a wonderful history! I was briefly associated with Marymount, attending as a student in 1974-1976 and helping to move the college in 1975 from the RPV site on Hawthorne to the present location. There was a lot of work that had to be done between the end of the Spring semester and the opening of the fall semester at the old high school site. Both of Tom Wood's sons (Russ and Brad) were on the team. We worked hard and played hard and got the job done. Tom Wood invited me back 1977 to direct the campus maintenance program until 1981 when we moved to Arizona. Sister Antoine was a good friend to my parents and she holds a special place in my heart. Thank you for yet another valuable lesson, Sister! God Bless.

Wonderful podcast. Well done!!! One thing that I kept thinking about..."A little child shall lead them." Carlo's ministry was foretold hundreds of years ago in Isaiah 11:6. This was all in God's plan a LONG time ago. Not some wise professor. Not some profound priest. But a child. Being 64 years of age, Carlo was a child compared to me. Blessed Carlo...you have changed my life. Pray for us.
