Another MegaDoom compatible wad doom 3 themed for the darkening episode maps. 12 map set very large maps so smaller screen recommended though I’d do same for all as makes it slightly faster in general and stops random freezing. Also I discovered strafe is enabled by the mode button duhh

Loading and trying chex quest for MegaDoom figured some IWAD might work if renamed to doom wad as the launcher only recognises the standard names like tnt plutonia etc so to play this you have to rename the wad to doom.wad it looks pretty nice on the megadrive nice colours . link to working wads, archive.org/details/doomm

im satisfied with it,its a nice option to play and create my own wads and slap the cartridge in,lets face it no 16 bit console could do that on its own not even a 32 x,its very appealing to me,has its own charm very mnuch like an old dos experiance so to say excessively dissapointing is a bit much

Graphically similar to SNES DOOM , you should really play Brazil MD Duke Nukem 3D , , , ,then you might understand how I feel about this Dos nonsense

yes the launcher and mapper included in every wad, ive made 6 megawads so far il upload onto my archive page in next week
megadoom can crash on some maps i find now and again and to stop that just reduce your in game screen size x2 and change to low quality graphics which is only minimaly noticable as it will fun faster and perform better i know that sucks a bit but it does solve that annoying problem
also you NEED a 6 button pad with mode button as mode is for strafe it took me a while to figure that one

No estoy seguro, pero creo que este port para el SEGA Genesis de 7,6 MHZ es impresionante (Creo)..... ¿Me pregunto si SEGA 16-Bit puede hacer cosas mejores que esta, o es que está ya es toda su capacidad... !Supongo que el tiempo lo dirá! Ya han sacado también: Fatal Furry Special, cuyos personajes son mas grandes y mejor definido. Y otros juegos actuales han usad el ´´Modo 7´´ de Super Nintendo mediante programación por Software con los fabulosos 7.6 MHZ de SEGA.

Let me guess, this is one of those "ports" that actually run on a mini computer inside a cartridge and the Genesis/MegaDrive is just displaying a video frame that was converted to the Genesis' tile gfx format? Don't get me wrong, I understand the urge to try out technical stuff in this regard. But I fail to see the motivation when it comes to these ports. Making Doom run on a Raspi or any FPGA system is trivial. And using an old console solely as a limited video output/joypad input also isn't a milestone.
hear me out. you know the knock off made in chiner game consoles.. every one of them featuring ripped off games from consoles of the past..... a million dollars to the company that makes the DOOM CON SOUL! . a pi based console loaded with the main doom engines gzdoom zdoom for example. and then load them with all the top rated Doom mods wads and total conversions. make the console that is built upon the open source doom engines. and after a few years of selling that you make the Quake Con Soul.. and load in the quake source ports loaded with mods paks and total conversions.
i always felt like Doom was more then a game its more of a Foundation of Gaming now. seeing intrepid folks Re-de making games for doom sources is amazing who'd have known ripping snes sprites out of one game and forming them in to the doom engine would work so amazingly.. all the 2d games of the past have a chance to reappear as doom games made by fans.. its one bright side of our times...

@@ticiusarakan It's not SVP chip, it's a FPGA chip. Only one game was released with SVP chip: Virtua Racing.

🚨Bacana. Lembra muito DOOM e Duke Nukem 3D. Se tivesse um jogo assim só com multiplayer(2 players)vs ja estava valendo a compra, pois tanto o DOOM e Duke Nukem 3D não possuem multiplayer com tela dividida no Genesis. 💡Só o multiplayer com adição de 2 controlados pela IA do vídeo game. 🇧🇷

It certainly LOOKS legit like a mega drive game but there's just no way it could run doom engine that smoothly
It’s a megadrive pro an fpga device that runs doom like the pc or near enough this is definitely authentic and running of the hardware 👍
It’s not a mega drive game it’s real pc doom running on a cyclone 4 chip that’s in built in the cartridge. The mega drive outputs it but it’s not perfect as you can’t strafe and no music. It can also freeze from time to time. But yes it’s all running on hardware
