Just ordered mines last week from eBay and mines red and i plenty of extra PS5 controllers that i will use my PS2 but would have to get another adapter if i wanted to use a PS5 controller 2nd controller on my PS2 i remember like 3 or 4 years ago after the PS5 was first released i had a PS5 controller but didn’t have a PS5 yet as they were sold out everywhere i ordered a adapter called Mayflash S Pro that was the size of a usb flash drive and used it on my old PS4 to use my PS5 controller but when i used that adapter on my old PS2 the Start and Select buttons didn’t work on the PS5 controller.

Nice easy repair, always feels good. Currently repairing one myself and at least two faulty inductors (common failure) plus some rust ( all cosmetic mercifully). Fingers crossed that's all that's wrong :)

my brother and I had one in 1980, these grandstand games were taken into school and we huddled around to watch each other beat each others scores, fantastic days. I still have one that I am in the middle of repairing.

I got it a week ago to replace a box full of playstation controllers. I kept one per console and the main one is the ps5 silver controller. It works like a charm

I dont understand why the ds Lite Shells suck so much. The dsi shell I have is great, and funnyplaying shells for all the gameboys are immaculate and good quality. Its just the ds lite that

Rock solid video and I especially liked the important part about the cloned boot loader. It’s such a rampant problem especially in the console modding scene where It’s almost an expected part of the scene. Spend months making a breakthrough modding tool only for someone to clone it, make it cheaper and spread that version. Thank you for making a point of acknowledging the original creator and wanting to give financial compensation.

Would the same trick work for stripped screws on a gba sp? those buggers are worn down and impossible to get out. I'll need to drill a (slightly larger) bit into them?

That last Lynx turned out really nicely. Did a similar screen swap when my lcd started showing black lines (sadly no fix for that unlike the DMG GB). BenVenn is a great bloke and did me solid not unlike some other guy who keeps on charging double VAT on parts. Anyways, where did you get the ram chips from?

DO NOT replace your shell with an after market, I just bought an aftermarket shell from extreme rate to spruce up my childhoot ds light and it is absolutely ruined now, the shell they sent me doesnt close, doesnt snap to a 90 degree angle, and even destroyed my receptor for my top screen because of the ds not opening correctly, i spent hours just to find all of this out after i had put the shell together, again please save yourself and do not get a aftermarket shell

Mate, I highly recommend you taking out the CR2032 battery and putting in a ML2032 The Mega CD has a recharge circuit, and can cause non-rechargeable batteries to leak or explode Unless you have installed a shotkey, swap the battery

I got this early as a xmas present that was delivered....it comes with a 10 in 1 cart that doesnt have much of what i would want to play.....and im not paying $30-$60 a game for atari cartridges when i can have the whole library on pretty muxh any device for free. I wasnt the target market 😔

Hi. Thanks for the video. Interesting to see difference in Kaboom (could be because of difficulty switch being on easy? Hence bigger?). In relation to the flickering, if you read Retro Gamer Atari 2600+ issue recent number they explain why it flickers. In relation to Berzerk, little correction, you could/can shoot diagonally but enemies couldn't in original, enhanced version allows enemies to shoot at you diagonally, and have the voice. I probably will buy this version too but will think about Run and Jump :) To add I also have an original 2600 but got this one for xmas (early present haha) Many thanks /GRooBY

The flicker is related to total amount of sprites on screen - seems 1 sprite + character sprite is allowed at any one time. 2 sprites means they need to flicker/alternate display each one - 3....as you can see they need to flip between all 3. Stairs, enemies and obstacles are made as sprites.

Im on the fence about this tbh. I might pick one up but I am a bit disappointed in the loading times and some games won't actually work on it. That might get sorted in a firmware update? I think the colour issues might be a PAL/NTSC issue but I can't be sure!?
