Don Caballero - Live in Austin, Texas "Repeat Defender"
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania band Don Caballero performing live at Red 7 in Austin Texas 02/08/2009. There is controversy about this song's title based on differences between iTunes and the album track listing. Respectively, "Cold Knees in April" vs. "Repeat Defender" You decide. Either way, the original recording is found on Don Caballero 2. Touch and Go records 1995

Don Cab can make my day.
great song
A friend sent me here
GUAUUUUUU....
they had been making some of the best rock music the world has ever known for 13 years and they were still playing on a shitty bar to bored old people, i guess it shows how ahead of their time they were
this is absolutely insane
Such a good song. WCLP has some real gems on it.
Guy in the front of the audience is either having a panic attack or having the time of his life
nu-males stacked heavy tonight!
were the tracks on don cab 2 written out similar to jeff becks wired? because even with the internet available people still call this track cold knees in april.
Its because the CD booklet's tracklist is kinda messed up, people use that as their source.
Cold Knees in April is switched with Repeat Defender
Is this maybe one of toe's influences? Man. 😌
I love this one track man
I saw them open for Tool in 2007.I wish I knew and their music then.
Masterminding
Brilliant! Awesome! Superb!
i was at this.
Lucky man.
Trans Am sorta feels timeless in their sound. Got to see them live in DC, so glad I did..
David Svrjcek This is true.
Is there any live footage of them playing Please Tokio, Please THIS IS TOKIO? I've always wondered what that drone part sounded like live, if they ever played it.
hay un recital del 94, creo, que toca el bajista de anteojos, matt jencik. ahi la tocan. la parte del final es una moladora que llevo Damon al estudio...
@@emptyfield5185 I don't speak Spanish, sorry if my username gave that impression. Edit: Never mind, think I found the video. Sadly, the feedback drone section seems to have been 90% cut by the editor.
@@drpibisback7680 there is a video in 1994 where they play Tokio live, but they stop the drone segment after only a little bit, cause that wouldn't have been as fun live probably
when they're good, they're the best
they are always good...seen them quite a few times thru the years and everytime its perfect or close too...most underrated band ever
The funniest thing ever is....its a coffee house....poor sound guy
Great band. That drummer is the camel's toe!
What's not to like? They make music their bitch!
Awesome! Had a fun talk with drummer Sebastian Thomson about Trans Am/Baroness here: ruclips.net/video/bNaO-5ufPrQ/видео.html
how could a band so good play to such rabble? all 2 of em
it looks like Damon is sitting on snare drum lol
Remember this song is off of their original albun
Anyone have the bass tab?
amazing song. with a perfect title. like this version even better then the album version.
When the Police first hit the scene in 1979, this is what they sounded like. Super cool.
.... super cool!
This one is going to last a while.
A classic. Part of the melody still makes me think of U2's The Electric Co. Love TA
like a dip of Japanese bands.
+Ishizuka Norihiro Yeah, now maybe - this was released in -97 sweetheart.
Or serious? I check it!
And he's playing a Mosrite Ventures guitar!
This is simply incredible.
I can't imagine how many bands they've embarrassed. Even if you're the best, how could you follow their live show.
+AshtieGoFuk happened to me in @ Sudsy's in Cincinnati, went on right after us. To make matters worse I was playing drums. Still waiting for the thank you card from Sebastian. That was our last show.
Wow... they're really set if they happen to break a string.
banfield was the king. the creta bourzia guys are such nice guys. a lot of dudes say damon is a prick but i met him in person and he was telling me how much he admired this jazz drummer. i forget his name but damon was like "that dude has skills" I would love to see a don cab reunion show with the orig members. I think the lowest point was american don. the highest point was DON CABALLERO 2. masters of their instruments!
Damon is a sweet guy, people like to talk shit. He's an absolute gentleman.
watching this, I feel like I'm in the audience. Best version of carboforce I've heard.
One of the best and loudest shows I have even been to. If you like these guys check out Golden!
I've never seen anything like this before. I can't believe it took me this long to hear this song. Better late than never, I guess.
Lol, the guy shouting out 'Cold Knees in April' blatantly downloaded the '2' album using torrent with the song names mixed up...someone lend him the CD/vinyl.
Damon Che have 4 hands
been coming back to this video for 3 years now, and every time I watch it, it just gets better. this is an amazing performance of an amazing piece of music. I can't get enough... it's pure genius!
this iteration of don cab was so damn good live, sounded exactly like the record at every show
love these guys, also. what a drummer
troooooppo figa!!!
Senor Gentleman are the shit. One of the most influential bands of the past two decades
I don't know any other drummers that know of him. He is amazing!!! I found out about him in the same issue of modern drummer as Zach Hill. What an amazing issue that was. I feel the same about Zach Hill.
Che is not underrated cause most people don't know him, and every one who knows him rate him really high.
its reminiscent of june is finally here. this song is such a great song. I can imagine damon telling them how it goes. this song is the inside of damons soul.
one of my all time favs for sure
@hotsloppy I love these guys, too. what a drummer
