6:40 Faure op. 17 no. 3
And off Peter goes.... Hear the Leroy Anderson _Fiddle Faddle_ in Mvmt.3? Proof serious music does not necessarily mean it has to take itself so seriously.
Amazing!
Bonjour, bravo pour votre performance , professeur de musique de chambre au conservatoire , je cherche sans succès le matériel de ce trio...si vous aviez des pistes..merci d'avance

This is one of the greatest works ever written for this instrumental combination. In my humble opinion it belongs in the pantheon with the trios by Brahms, Barton, and Mozart. And the performance by this trio is also of the highest rank!
This is amazing!!
Throw down at the Hoe Down! Giddy up. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Brava !! Great performance. 👏🏼👏🏼
Outstanding!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Brava!! 👏🏼👏🏼
An effective piece. Incorporates space, momentum, a coherent pitch language, and a satisfying shape.
👍🏼👍🏼😍
Wow, what an incredible video. Thank you so much for putting this online. Right now I am reading the letters of LEONARD BERNSTEIN which features many letters to and from David Diamond. I just listened to David's 4th Symphony, which I like very much. I look forward to getting to know this trio that you performed. Again many thanks for posting this!
Dear Verdehr Trio! It is incredibly difficult to find the scores for this piece. Could you maybe help me? Thank you for this beautiful recording! All the best
I'm searching, too. Where did you find the score?
did you found it? i need it too so badly :)
I think the scores are private and under some copyrights which means that you have to pay the Person that owns it. My Guess is that they go directly to the family who inherits from the French movie.
The fifth movement’s aria is one of the most beautiful melodies ever written by an American composer!
Alan Hovhaness is so inspiring
Marvelous work and performance- thank you!
I was privileged to meet and become friendly with Karel Husa while a Masters candidate in composition at the Peabody Conservatory, where Karel was in residence for a week. I think I heard this very work performed at Eastman during a weekend that my percussion sextet was performed there. It was the last time we talked in person. He was a wonderful, immensely talented artist who was beloved by the classical music community writ large. R I P, Karel
Marvelous! She is one of the best players!
She's amazing!
Hermoso! Muchas felicidades.
omg, "I thought everybody heard music in their head" :D this is soooo precious
I used to go out to Lake Sammamish and not Lake Samish. Both are quite beautiful.... dreamlike even.
He really was one of the greatest figures of 20th century music. Music is not only notes, it is creation, passion, communication, connection with the people. That's why he created Spoleto, Charleston, Melbourne and composed specifically for the Television and the Radio. No musician did all that and will never do because Gian Carlo was one of the greatest artistic figures of the 20th century.
Wonderful! Brilliant!
This guy was a genius! HE IS THE REASON WE HAVE HALLMARK HALL OF FAME!
Sitting, listening, and watching from Bellingham, albeit the northside whereas Samish is to the south. Haven't had a lot of experience with Hovhaness... played his October Mountain at Marrowstone Music Fest a few years ago, which was a very interesting piece. Honored to have him be influenced by my home area, and clearly, I have a plethora of listening to catch up on!
Hovhaness wrote very dreamy music. In fact in this video, he seems to talk to us most of the time with his eyes quite closed!
I'm listening over and over again ~~
Asa Morris -- Amazing co-incidence...or (more likely, para-normal event) for I am listening from ACAPULCO!! I mean, like, WHAT ARE THE CHANCES? Cheers!
@@steveegallo3384 good to see you again Steve (;
@@thoughtsforthebuilders -- The pleasure is...and has always been...mine, friend! How are conditions on the Côte d'Azur?
I'd love to write a new ambient work for you, here is a sample: cition.bandcamp.com/track/seattlemix-live-in-roy-o-disney-hall
Wonderful video! I grew up in Seattle and met Mr. Hovhaness when I played his Visionary Landscapes for piano. I recall sitting in his living room as he played various motives from a recent symphony. This trio is a lovely piece, very characteristic of his style, and beautifully performed. Bravo to all!
Lovely music from the master! I was his student, and he was a wonderfully inspiring teacher.
Thank you so much for this video! I'm glad I found it.I'm also glad that, when I was young, my mom made me sit on the couch and listen to her and Walter practice, even though I would rather have been outside playing.
👌👌👌

Trialog for clarinet, violin, piano, F. Stöver
THE GREATEST of unknown composers. Hovhaness should be more well known. If all is right in the world his day will come.
Love the piece and the performance - wish that once the performance was underway you had stuck to just showing the performers.
' one of the great figures of 20th century music" !!!...???????...come now ,Peter!!!! or is this a PDQ bach joke??
Along with "his friend Samuel Barber"
i love this video, this man, and your trio. wishing you all the best
This is Great Thank you very much
A nice work with some hints of french neclassicism. The last movements fugato-like start makes me think of the of the fugue-presentation in Brittens "A Young Person´s Guide to the Orchestra" (Variations and Fugue on a Theme of Purcell). Even in this movement i seen to find "traces" for Poulence.
this is history.
What a beautifull performance!! Thank you so much for uploading.
Ah, these clips made me smile. Such life here! Greetings from afar - Morgan Zearott
Nice music and sensitively played-Diamond is totally underrated.I like his 3rd symphony and the string quartets.
Fantastic performance....
