Cyclekart test drive after stage 1 upgrade to motor
Просмотров 1,6 тыс.2 года назад
I recently upgraded my 200cc engine with exhaust header, performance muffler, cone intake, bigger carb jet, governor removal, changed timing key, and 18lbs valve springs. Took it for a test drive here and realized now I have to upgrade my mechanical disc brake to a hydraulic setup.
Resin cast broken plastic gear
Просмотров 126 тыс.2 года назад
Our 750 page hopper fed shredder broke a plastic gear on the feed roller rendering the monster shredder into a single page feed weakling. I looked everywhere for a replacement gear and could not find one. So I decided to try to make a duplicate gear from resin casting the matching remaining good gear.

Pre-cutting slots for no-press method of punching louvers

I used a Dremel Ultra saw to pre cut slots in aluminum before punching the louvers without a press in my previous video.
Punching louvers without a press
Просмотров 10 тыс.3 года назад
This video shows how you can punch louvers in aluminum without the use of a press and hardened steel dies. You can make any size die from hardwood and cutout templates from plywood. First I used a Dremel Ultra-saw with a 3.5 inch metal cutoff wheel to cut evenly spaced slots. Then I used this jig setup to hammer the hardwood die to form the louver.
Wow ! Fantastic! 😊
Super helpful Vince. I will steal this idea for my own project.
Fantastic
What did you do in the first A and B. Is this resin epoxy or silicone resin?
Beautifull
You are a freaking genius man! Subscribed and liked all at the same time!!!!! Our expensive plotter cutter broke a simple gear and I had to buy the entire unit to replace it. A simple cracked gear is all it is, and you just saved lots of money and frustration of cutting plans by hand with a razor knife, and never having to buy the whole part again!!!! THANK YOU!!!
Wow excellent skill
muy bueno !! . . .
Saya sangat suka sekali dg mobil balap tempo dulu yg ada tampilkan ini. Saya dari Indonesia asalam sehat selalu n❤
Cómo se llaman los productos que usan?
I wonder of I can copy my thumb release. Its old and made.of.plastic and started to crack..saddley they are.not made anymore and i really like this model...i dont want aluminum because it gets cold when hunting.
Excellent video. Now I can repair my thicknesser sprockets. :)
Thank you! I need custom louvers for some props and was panicking about not having the machinery for metalwork but I definitely can do precise wood tooling! If anything, the registration for the previously made punches is a massive improvement over the other punch setups I’ve seen…I can be a bit too much of a perfectionist and if they aren’t lined up exactly it will annoy the hell out of me.
Nice! What makes that CK appear to be faster than the other CKs?
I wasn't the fastest one out there! It was a long race (2.4 hours). Some guys were taking it easy because they were nursing some issues with their cyclekarts.
Looks like incredible fun. I bet a lot of love goes into engineering and caring for the vehicles.
I’m glad you didn’t have to walk in for gas like a couple years ago😊
Hey Drew, you should have came out, there were 10 cyclekarts in this event. In that first race I did not know how long a tank of gas would last. This time I notified my pit crew to call me in at the 1 hour mark to fill up.
I WANT ONE !!!!
Competitive motorsport has come such a long way, and I'm glad that it exists, for the millions who want to follow it. This, however, is arguably one of the purest forms of 4 wheeled motorsport around; there's the "I built it myself" aspect, the accessibility - it's an interesting thought.
Nice hobby
Looks like a Red bull pitstop!!! 😁😁 👍👍👍👍👍
perfect! can you please tell me a little more about this silicon and what type of shop it should be available from.
Nama lem cilicond nya apa ya?
For the mold I used "Smooth-On ECOFLEX 30" liquid silicone rubber mixed 1:1.
Very good indeed, I will remember.
That's amazing, I would love to follow that but I don't know how to do mixtures you use. What is the name or brand of resin and silicon you use. Because i have broken gear for paper shredder and as you said it's hard to find a replacement. I bought a new paper shredder of same brand and I like to duplicate first the good gear of it and fix the broken one so that I can use it again and not to dump it.
the problem is new gear will be smaller
2K Harz ohne Armierung, wie stabil wird das? Ich nehme immer entweder Baumwollflocken oder Kohlefaserstaub um eine Verstärkung zu erzielen.
Great video. Your driving style is smooth and efficient.
No sé sabe el nombre de los productos
Thank you for making a very easy, useful and short video, I’m sick of seeing people talking for hours and doing less 😖
Заменили пластиковую деталь на деталь из эпоксидной смолы без каких-то добавок, и это должно потом в каком-то механизме работать?🤔 🙄 Перестаньте такие опыты делать
Made the first K for U :-)
Great work pal thanks for sharing.
Alt yazı kullan.
Great to see people makimg things like this rather than throwing the entire machine away. The corporate greedy giants probably would not even sell you a small gear like this
I have an ice cream machine by bella. one tiny small plastic gear inside the motor cracked in half. It's like pulling teeth trying to get them to tell me how to replace it. They all act stupid as if the part can not be replaced but they still make the model so they MUST have gears for it. I can't use this video because I don't have a duplicate gear. the original cracked in half. I may be able to glue it back to gether temporarily but it is literally smaller than a pinky fingernail in width and the thickness of a chopstick tall.
Great and simply 😄👍
Hi my friend, Can you send me the names of the materials you used?
For the mold I used "Smooth-On ECOFLEX 30" liquid silicone rubber mixed 1:1. For the resin I used "HTAIER Epoxy Resin Crystal Clear Kit" mixed 1:1.
@@vincedeblasi4849 Thanks.
Thank you could you give a link where to buy these products?
I am in Canada, so I don't know if these links would work where you are. They are both from Amazon: www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B092MQN85L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00CA5VY3U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
@@vincedeblasi4849 Thank you very mutch i'm Belgian and i speak french. Congratulations 😉
i would have mixed in some kitty hair.
brands of silicon mold and epoxy pls. thank you
For the mold I used "Smooth-On ECOFLEX 30" liquid silicone rubber mixed 1:1. For the resin I used "HTAIER Epoxy Resin Crystal Clear Kit" mixed 1:1.
You are a dang genius! Thanks you
क्या-क्या use Kiya bhai aapane
3d printing is more easier than this process
True, but you'd have to find a STL or make your own 3d model of it. Which I'm doing now since mine doesn't exist in the real world or virtual.
are there not fibers like used in concrete to mix in for stronger teeth ? makes me want to 3d print models to cast with stronger material.
Tq. Learned something from your posting
Put some WD 40 into to the mold ! Gear get out so easy!!
You seem like you would be a schematics kind of guy, any chance you have your plans written out for exactly how to make the braces and dye? The measurements and all?
I have replacement gears for a 1960s Athearn HO scale steam engine for my brother and they work great. I used smooth on products for my project. I used the task 8 resin for tge gears and the dark blue silicone for the mold. It helps to use a mold release agent to get the parts out.
Wauuuu dónde
No Ragtag music next time please, I really wanted to hear the acceleration of the engine. 😬👍
