Very nice! We’re in Virginia, from Ohio, and we visited Greenspring Interpretive trail. We heard about your video of the barred owls bathing, so I thought I’d try to find it!!! Love it! You don’t see that everyday. Awesome capture.

Very nice video. Just saw one of these birds in my neighborhood a couple of days ago. Quite spectacular.
Thanks for the comment. These birds are big and fast to try to photograph.
Wow, I'm a huge owl fan for years, but I've never heard that second call before. There's still much to learn for me, I guess ;-) Thank you for recording and uploading, this is great! ❤🦉
You're welcome. They are fun and challenging to find in the woods because of their camouflage colors in their feathers.
@@DavidMiller-SpectraProductions Indeed :-)
Barred Owl fans generally refer to that call as the "Monkey Call". It seems most prominent from the start of courtship to mating period.
I ❤ OWLS
Wow...certainly requires patience. Hope it was worth the wait 😊
This is awesome, and great way to capture this serene moment of an owl!
Thanks for the compliment. It was fun trying to get this on camera.
Hello,a very beautiful scenery to watch and never seen a call of the Barred Owl.Wonderful filmed in an excellent quality!! Greetings from the Netherlands and subscribed to your channel.
After hearing this haunting call, I can understand why our ancient ancestors believed in demons, ghosts, and ghouls. Excellent job capturing this magnificent creature!
great video! I love the 'monkey calls'! sure stirred up the crows too!
It really shakes up the people walking by also.
Starts out all modest but doesn't hold back when someone responds!
I think she wanted him to sit on the nest for a while.
I captured this video on February 12th, 2024. Let me know what you think in the comments. Thanks David
