Flying Air China Oldest's Boeing 747-400 | Upper Deck View | Business Class | Shanghai-Beijing
Now, Air China has three Boeing 747-400s left in operation. They mainly operates service in domestic market, such as Beijing - Guangzhou, Beijing - Shanghai and Beijing - Shenzhen route. In last week, i flew the B-2445 (Boeing 747-400) to Beijing for a business trip. The whole trip took around 1hr 40mins and everything went very smoothly. Due to work reasons, i just flew flight from Shanghai to Beijing, and experienced the busiest air route in China. I'd add Lijiang to Shangri-La train trip to my travel wish list. I've been to Lijiang and I loved it but didn't get to Shangri-La because the transportation wasn't so convenient years ago. Thanks for the video!

The high speed train not being able to reach max cruise speed because of "bad weather" is a huge technical red flag for me. I'm watching the images and there is barely any snow. What was the temp ? Freezing cold ? I've never seen a TGV being slowed down because of minus 0°c temp
Because at the time of this video, China was probably experiencing freezing weather, and it wasn't the snow or the temperature that caused the problems, but the freezing rain: because it freezes the electricity transmission equipment, and the weight of the ice destroys the wires, while the trains can also cause poor contact or even damage the pantographs if they travel at too high a speed. It also takes time to repair and clean up railway facilities, so even after the ice rain and snowfall has ended, the network is not immediately ready for full speed service. I don't think this type of weather is common on the TGV network, but it does happen in winter in central China, and it's worse than just snow or minus 0°c temp. If you look at the HSR network in northern and northeastern China, you will see that the Chinese HS trains can run at 300km/h+ full speed even when the temperature is lower than a typical French winter.

So the business class seats are like reverse herringbone seats on planes now. But isn't it weird that the seats on the right hand side tilt towards the aisle, instead of the window?

I've been to China and the country is a disgusting mess. There's nothing natural in Eastern China and on top of that the air in Chinese cities smells like bust exhaust. Chinese don't care at all about the environment they're just money grubbing thieves.
