The best ESS teacher ever!
@@mariia_cgy Thank you! I’m quite flattered.
ESS test tomorrow, thank you!!
You’re welcome - good luck!
nice video, are you open to new idea???
New idea? Sure!
@@MrKremerScience okay as a good fan how can we connect
@@YoungshegzPencil DM me at mr.kremer.science.essentials at gmail.com
I have a Ess test on 1.1 -1.3, what do u recommend I do. It is in a few hours.
Focus on the EVS characteristics, know how to draw and analyze a systems diagram, and be able to explain sustainability in terms of consuming resources at a rate lower than they are replaced through growth or reproduction.
Thank you sir
You are welcome!
Thank you so much! Would really appreciate it if you could continue doing this for the entire course. If possible could you please do this for HL also
Glad you liked it - that’s why I make these videos. I intend to make videos for the entire syllabus, including HL. It will take some time as I make these while creating the slide decks and teaching the class. Look for a release every week or two. Please share with other ESS students to help me grow the channel.
Thank you sooo much....really helpful ,you teach so amazing you are my saviour !!
@@PanshiKothari woohoo! Love to hear it! Glad I can help. Please share so I can grow the channel and reach more students about ESS.
you've got a great voice
Thx!
I've been teaching for 18 months now. When I was getting the hand of it all, there comes a change in the syllabus! Thanks, I've watched many of your videos and used some of them in classroom as well. I like the way you organise visuals to instigate some reflections as well.
Thanks for the kind words. I’m glad you’re finding them helpful. It’s a bit of a challenge to put them together between lessons. Luckily the syllabus isn’t going to change for many years now!
thankk you i have an ess exam today and this helped a lot!
Glad you found it helpful. Good luck on the exam!
🔥🔥🔥
Thank you! Please share with others.
Professional content for professionals, thank you!
Thanks! Glad you appreciate it. Another video drops in about 7 hours.
I have an ESS test tomorrow, thank you sir!!!
Good luck!
I will start teaching ESS for the first time this academic year (school starts next week for me :-)). I found your video superb and extremely helpful for my understanding and more importantly for delivering it in a logically sequenced order. Many thanks, I will spread the word :-)
Thank you for the kind words. I’ll release more videos for the new syllabus as quickly as I can.
DP Bio teacher teaching ESS for first time. Useful overview and appreciate the pedagogical/learning activity tips. Will be introducing HL.c Environmental Ethics concurrently with 1.1 Perspectives in coming weeks; I feel they could marry well. Looking forward to your (hopefully) 1.2 to 1.4 and HL lenses videos down the road.
I will eventually get to the HL lenses. In an odd quirk, every student in my current class enrolled at SL, so we won’t explore the HL as much as I’d like to. I’ll still push out some HL content though.
Excelent , thanks you
You’re welcome!
As a new ESS - teacher I really appreciate your work! Thank you
You're very welcome! I make these videos to help teachers as much as students. Please spread the word. More videos coming as soon as I can put them together.
Thanks a lot! Please make a video on 1.2 and 1.3, that’d be really helpful, thanks
Coming soon! Thanks for watching. Please share.
I just released ESS 1.2 part 1 the other day. ESS 1.2 part 2 comes out tonight. Please share with your class and across your network!
Thanks bro
@@wittygamerguy3994 happy to help
Thank you for the video - can the students see the supervisor comment? Also are you able to export the supervisor comment to a student report? Thanks for advice.
it depends on the way your school has set it up. In my school, Our supervisor comments are exported to the academic honesty form and also to the report card where we show the personal project achievement levels.
There's an audio problem beginning in the 10th minute of the video. I will re-layer the tracks and upload it again. The first ten minutes are fine.
Thank you for this video, I am about to start ESS HL this august and you got me even more excited!
Waw! It must be exciting to teach newer topics
I’m really looking forward to exploring the environmental ethics and environmental economics HL lenses.
this was so helpful tysm
Great to hear! That’s why I make these videos. Please share my channel with others.
looking forward to the inclusion of HL topics! another great video thanks!
these videos are great, thank you so much!
Glad you like them! I hope they help.
liked and subscribed - game on with the HL ESS, I've been waiting for this for a while.
Post the rest of topic 4 pls 🙏
I’ll get to it during the break. My school finishes tomorrow so I’ve been wrapped up in end-of-year preparations.
I got the next one ready earlier than expected. ESS 4.2 Access to freshwater ruclips.net/video/NroRaG0Qf5k/видео.html
I really appreciate this video, youre saving me in my exams
Woohoo!
Thank you sir for creating these videos! They are very helpful and I am repeatedly watching them when I don't understand a topic!
I'm so glad you find them helpful! That's why I make them. Please share them with your classmates.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Thank you for the video!
Sure thing! I hope it helps
thank you so much for this! im glad I found this channel!
You're so welcome! Glad you find it useful. Please share with other ESS students.
Thanks a lot! That was a great recap for me. I would suggest discussing more how winds are formed and how they transfer heat.
Great suggestion! I'll keep that in mind when I'm making videos for the new ESS syllabus. I plan to start releasing new content at the start of the upcoming school year in August 2024.
I also strongly suggest that you know the pros and cons of habitat-based conservation and species-based conservation. You should know details of at least one named example of each approach. It doesn't have to be famous, but you need to know it well enough to address the various factors determining their success. This includes the design aspects of protected areas.
You've got to know about CITES for the ESS exams!
If you go out tonight, say hi to some Ladyboys 😏🤭
Finally! & literally some 30 years too late. 😿
For sure.
1st!
So sweet and peaceful… needed calmer music to make it even more fun to watch…
Nice hacks
Thx.
That's so wrong. CROW is the answer you are looking for
Cockatoos have been known to live close to 100 years in captivity, with some pet parrots also living 80+ years. Laysan and black-footed albatrosses have generally been considered the longest-living birds in the wild, with records of some individuals living 70 years. Crows typically live 12-20 years, and the oldest confirmed crow died at 59 years from what I have found. Maybe there are longer-lived crows than that? New evidence would change the story for sure - that’s science.

Ok
Venus fly trap gang.
I used to keep a Venus fly traps in my apartment, and they were fun to watch on the rare occasion when insects would land on them. These pitcher plants are different. It’s like slow torture.
Awesome! Looove botony..ty
I am a former student from the botany Currently pursuing my Masters in Environment and Development , I am eager to seek guidance for my dissertation. My primary interest lies in the intersection of botany and ecology, with a keen inclination towards incorporating social contexts into my research. In my previous internship, I conducted a baseline survey of the vegetation at wetland lake, aiming to comprehend the conditions of declining urban wetlands For my upcoming dissertation, I am eager to delve deeper into a topic that merges botany, ecology, and social perspectives. I'm open to exploring new ideas within this realm that align with my field of study. Your guidance and suggestions in narrowing down a topic would be immensely valuable for me.
That sounds like an intriguing intersection of subjects. Have you considered examining the potential of ethnobotany (the use of plants to treat or alleviate disease symptoms) as a means of promoting conservation in underserved economically-developing communities?
Really hope I get to visit a red wood forest one day
I hope you do too! They’re pretty cool.
Please use both if you’re going to confuse half your viewers with the “wrong unit” 80M is about 240 feet?
Sorry for the confusion. I teach in international schools, and because the metric system is used pretty much everywhere else on Earth except the US, it's our default unit of measurement.
@@MrKremerScience it’s the correct one, I just find that the slow ones to adopt it are the most large population who watches this stuff, not your channel I couldn’t pretend to know that, but yt as a whole.
It is more like a survival feature than a reproductive aspect.
That's one way of looking at it. Reproduction is essential for the survival of a species.
They're not clones but they are genetic. They're the same fucking tree. To be a clone you would have to be cut from it separated from the roots and grown new roots. All this is is the same tree still growing
