If you don’t like retrieving your casts, you could go for the other mirror option, the regeneration timer one, then seek out extra casts on either Artemis legendary or Chaos. Love it on Curse of Drowning Achilles builds.

You should only load 1 at a time for regular rooms. 3 casts at a time is for bossing

ngl it's VERY fun watching you learn a new (compared to hades 2) game + new set of tools it's fun watching you be good at hades 2, too, and that's made me a lot better at the game, but idk failing and getting better adds drama

Beowulf IS the best aspect damage wise but if you're not used to it or it doesn't fit your playstyle it can just feel clunky and slow and annoying to use. I'm the same way. When I was doing 52 heat on every weapon, I chose Zeus Shield instead of Beowulf. That takes a bit of getting used to too but once you do get used to it it's amazing and super freeing and safe.

Beowulf with festive fog is pretty cool. You can stun enemies in it and get the Zeus duo that drops bolts in the fog. You can do hunting blades with Achilles spear. Ares cast, Artemis special, Poseidon attack, for mirage shot hunting blades

Pro tip: if you take extra casts from chaos and the shop item that makes beowulf go crazy.

10:00 minibosses have actually lower chances of giving duo boons (about 2% reduction if I recall correctly.) 14:30 Cerberus health bonus is temp, personally for safety the tooth or acorn are best (acorn refills in each biome so it can work in both Elysium and Styx) - also charged shot is best until around 50Heat where extra s start becoming necessary. 17:20 powershot sucks - takes too long to be useful but occasionally benefits you. 21:18 best way to meg heroes is to tap up and then summon, but each their own. RIP Yeah Beowulf is absurd damage if you know how to build it right. There's a reason why the top spot in speedrunning is Beowulf. In regards to high heat I'd say it's an A tier weapon but requires a lot of practice (also EM4 is a bit unbalanced - literally released the day that feedback was closed). beowulf requires a cast build. you got decent hammers and duos, but you neglected to pom your casts (super important because flat damage increases are good), and you neglected to get more bloodstones (through chaos or wells)

"Am I missing something"... you were missing the enemies a fair bit. The piercing shot is very strong but, as you said, it does make it very easy to overshoot so that the main bulk of the Aspect's damage (the flare) ends up hitting nothing. As for doing a lot of Cast builds, by the tail end of my Hades 1 playtime, I almost exclusively did Cast builds (or occasional Sea Storm Splash Dash with Gilgamesh Gloves). Achilles Spear with the lingering casts (Dio Cast with the duos or Demeter Cast with the Artemis duo+Glacial Glare) is one of my faves.

Hydra keepsake? 😭 You lose the extra HP when you swap off Cerberus spiked collar. About Sudden Rush, it's just a case of git gud. JK it's good IMO but you need to get used to it. Also, I feel like this build gets way better if you get Artemis Legendary and casts from Chaos and Wells. And Hermes has the equivalent of Fetching Array, which is one of his Legendaries, Greater Recall.

Charged Shot is my favorite Beowulf hammer. I'd say it's pretty good

My friend just got a Steam Deck and has been asking me for something to play, I think I'm going to suggest this and see what the co-op is like. Also have you played Death Must Die? I mean it's not the greatest of all time or anything but I had fun with it recently. Cool artsyle, and it's one of those games where when you're build is busted it's big dopamine.

Not the best at 32, but still decent is Aphro cast with Aspect of Poseidon. Just pom the hell out the cast, try to get exit wounds and pressure points, maybe Athena + Aphro duo or Artemis + aphro duo if you have Artemis on special.

The most fun I've had with Hades is Chiron bow with Dio on special. Aphro duo is best, but can go for Ares and Artemis as well.

7:55 "How do I come up with 6 different Poseidons but not the Legendary?" I had similar "luck" while hunting for Hera's Legendary (Minor Prophecy reasons). I did 6 consecutive Hera-focused runs and had all prerequisites plus rolls before the Cyclop. It just didn't work, RNG kept laughing at me. And then I found the solution. Once the Legendary pre-requisites are in, I just filled out all core slots with whatever didn't ruin my build. Next time I saw Hera - it was there after 1 roll. My best guess is that the game will push core boons and 2nd tier boons in your face until you fill the slots. Only then it will take that Legendary outta closet.
