I can't speak for others but in any open world game my first time through I mark my own map with any place that interests ME for some reason, resource rich, good rest place etc. Obviously if I am rushing to help a team mate then I wouldn't do it at that time. Basically if you team with people that pee you off, don't team with them again.

Hate these missions with the tow truck for a few reasons. 1. The truck is painfully slow 2. Tonya is fucking annoying. 3. You can't help people unless they help themselves, so Franklin doing JB's job for him might keep his job but it isn't going to stop him doing crack. Tough love is needed there.
