The rooms are the really bad … below 2-star expectations. Mold grows on the wallpaper. Cockroach haven. The BIGGEST cockroaches we have ever seen in our lives. Bed clothes not fully changed from guests who stayed in rooms before us. We tried to book reservations at a al carte restaurants as soon as our bags were delivered to our rooms. We were told that there were no reservations available at any time at any of the a al carte restaurants any the nights of our stay. Our first 1+ hour of our vacation was spent arguing and arguing until we got reservations at 3 of the restaurants. We gave up after that. Long lines. Long waits. The pool bar is a mob scene. The resort is understaffed. The majority of the staff seems miserable. I don’t blame them. Food service is dangerous! The inside buffets are smelly. Bugs and birds fly in for food. This place is the worst. We complained and complained …to our useless concierge, on the phone to the lobby, and to the manager on duty. Resort seems incapable of addressing basic issues … or they don’t care … or both. The manager on duty got to a point of trying to explain to us how difficult it was to provide service and supplies to all guests in all rooms every day … a very, very sad open admission of incompetence! An entire vacation wasted. Do NOT ignore the negative reviews. Do yourself a huge favor and go elsewhere for your vacation.

Have this hotel night club?

Bring lots of extra strength pepto bismol or imodium so you can make it though an entire super duper animation show without needing to run to the restroom. Otherwise, due to the undercooked, poorly prepared, and unsafely maintained food, you will need to run to the restroom and miss out on the super duper animation. If you need to run to the restroom, you can run to one of the public restrooms on the resort that feel and smell like a sewer line exploded in a sauna. ... or you can run to the toilet in your room that does not flush well and clog frequently, which is line with the room AC that may or may not work well, which matches great with the dirty, old, damaged, and moldy décor of your room. Enjoy!

Looks a really nice hotel. Do you know if any building work is planned on the grounds next to the hotel? Could see cranes in another video I saw. Don't really want to be there when/if this is planned?

A suggestion: Would be great if the video is synchronized with the narration - e.g. When talking about the lobby, show the lobby.

Thinking of staying here or Eden Roc, are you basically a hostage to the food and restaurants on the property or are there other places to eat within walking distance? How well does the AC work in the rooms, is the water pressure and temperature stable, are the pools heated at the resort and in the rooms with the pools, any issues with privacy and obtaining a beach chair, can you rent a cabana for the day, how is the Wi-Fi is it spotty or non-existent? Is there a hot tub and heated? Is the resort noisy? Is the seaweed bad and the ocean swimmable? Does one need to make reservations for dinner? Debating on going first week or two of November. Thank you for your time!
