I much more prefer the midrange torque of the diesel and you don't need to rev it high to get the most out of it

Fuel economy in tdi is different , you wont belive how mutch more the 1.5 spends on fuel daily
not true. The difference is very small. When used in the city, the TDI can burn even more than the TSI, because it takes much longer to warm up. On the road, the TDI will burn less, but these are cosmetic differences, especially when you take into account the ad blue, which is very annoying.
@@LodzSquad I have actually had both these cars. With the TDI and my calm driving I averaged 18.5 km/l with the TSI I was at 15 km/l. When driving highway only it was 17 km/l for the diesel and 13 km/l for the petrol. With calm driving the TDI is much more better because torque is there at low rpm while with the petrol you have to rev to actually feel some thrust.
Ive driven a bunch of diesels and petrols including Golfs over the past decades. For everyday use its not a giant difference. Im currently on a 2 liter i4 petrol with 186hp and my average is 5.8. My diesels averaged about a liter less.
I’ll take tha C7 Z06 it looks beta, just as fast and cheaper
C8 is N/A and better on racetracks... But I would make the same choice as you because of design and price...
