I love how they write Danny as being this super holier than thou, high and mighty good guy who believes that because he is what he believes to be a good guy then naturally his teaching style MUST be better. Whereas Johnny is more steeped in the real world and is ACTUALLY a good teacher. I know it was played out as a joke, but when he said "I feel it out" when it comes to teaching students he was telling the truth, sometimes hes a super hardass and other times he uses softer tactics which eventually lead to toughening up the student. What I love about Johnny: despite his issues and stupid moments, he's not fronting. He will do his best to back up his talks. He's never started a fight he wasn't completely ready to carry through or taken on an opponent he wasn't ready to take on even when it failed. for characters defined by that kind of bluster and posturing, he's one of the only ones who can back it up, beyond karate.
