Home improvement journal (part 1)
There's a short video of my home improvement journey and I've been working on. I'm working on the drywall and replacing the lines to the water heater and the outlet box for the washing machine on this video.

Baby snake surprise
Просмотров 14Месяц назад
I had a baby snake surprised me this morning as I was doing my daily checks at work. I'm pretty sure it was by the door handle when I opened the door. Turns out it was a northern water snake.

Definitely a green tinge hail for sure
Watched it rain & listened to some redneck go "hooo!" several times. Riveting!
Is it a wild one
No, it's located in Dogwood Canyon in Lampe, Missouri. The public can view it from a tram for a small token..
❤beautiful picture of bis.
Any damage to the Bradford Pear tree?
No actually. Thank God!!!
hey puppy
love that black truck
Thank you. It's a dark blue, though it's hard to tell. Thanks for watching! 😀
I wonder if this guy realized that the sun sets in the west??
Yes sir, that's why I commented that it looked weird because normally the pretty skies are on the other side. It was backwards..
I love a good storm!! I don’t like hurricanes and such but just a good thunderstorm!! Love the cast iron horse and buggy on the front porch post.
Thank you, I do too. 😊
No access to weather reports?
I don't believe the news. Especially the weather man!! 🤣
Stumper
looks to be a chanterelle
I love a good storm, setting in some shelter and watching!
I was always told, green sky mean tornadoes and yellow sky means hail.
I always assume "uh oh" when I see either one lol.
Derecho.
Thank you for the info.😊
Thanks for watching! 😊
Beautiful Spring Storm!
I found one today in GA looks just like that one
Awesome! It's the only style like that I have ever seen.. I think it's really old. Possibly 1800s
Algo muy hermoso ❤❤❤❤❤
If it was me, I’d be checking the back of the house for a tornado! Since the wind direction seemed to be coming from that direction. Especially, after seeing a green sky, lightning, sudden drop in temperature and winds kicking up. Either hail or a tornado or both are coming your way! Time to get low. I don’t know if he’s new to Missouri, but if he’s not, he should know the signs! I left Oklahoma when I was 12 and 60 years later, I still know the signs!
It ended up being straight line winds but no tornado. It did cause a lot of damage. Missouri has been my home for my whole life, so I'm very aware of tornadoes. I was ready to get to my shelter at any moment, but I've been through worse storms, so I wasn't too concerned. I love storms with a passion! Thanks for watching!
In Kansas we call that a breeze.
🤣 That's because ya'll ain't got no trees to slow it down. I always blamed Kansas for half of Missouris wind and Illinois for the other half.
@mychills... And here I thought it was because Nebraska blew, and Oklahoma sucked!😄😄😄
@lisaharrod8386 I didn't want to say that but those were my thoughts LOL 😅
😁
Head forthebasement
No basement here. We have a closet under the stairs that we use..
Waited for the escalation per the title. Yes the wind picked up and rain started, but nothing even close to spectacular or even interesting. Bet the guy filming doesn’t even know his neighbor phone number so he could advise him about his shed roof lifting. Nice sunset to the east. When did they switch to that direction?
Thanks for watching and commenting. It must have touched you somewhere to leave such a wonderful comment. I appreciate you taking time out of your day to say this. Hopefully, you feel much better, and you're walking on sunshine all day now! God bless you, sir!
I think they are mushrooms
You are not wrong lol. Just trying to narrow it down a bit. 🤏
Possibly Leucocoprinus cepistipes, doing a little research says it's edible but can be easily mistaken for poisonous mushrooms. Don't eat them unless you're 100% certain. I'm not an expert
Thank you. I'll do further research before consuming. 😊
There are old mushroom hunters. There are bold mushroom hunters. There are no old bold mushroom hunters. Be careful.
@robertporter6683 every mushroom is edible at least once. 🤣
I heard it from a phd mycologist, that tasting is part of the identification process, and all mushrooms are tasteable, but you MUST spit it out. There is a mushroom guide author who tasted every mushroom in his guide including all of the baddies. I tasted a Hare’s Foot Ink Cap yesterday. Nothing special.
I haven't seen for more than three minutes in as many years. Beautiful.
Meaning the 😈 is beating up his wife
Now imagine being a FedEx home delivery person.
Beautiful. We have a field similar to ride through here in SoCal. The Wild Animal Park, where you will see Ibex, or Pyrex, or Stylex or some such exotic animal being exploited...this though, this is not usury. Thanks for the lovely morning moments.
Thanks for watching, as always! 😊
@@mycmills as an aside, this is my first visit here. Happy to meet you. Hope to see you again.
We went through there and stayed at Roaring River lodge the day after....It was terrible seeing all the trees uprooted down by the hatchery and old spring...and Cassville was tore, tore up!! Fortunately for us the lodge was all good..Beautiful place down there!
That's about five minutes from me. It's definitely a blessing to live in such a beautiful area! Thanks for watching!
As the saying goes, dont cry over spilled milk. Thank god your house is still standing
Green skies are never good.
Good for excitement, lol
Nothing like thunder and lightning. AKA. God rolling the barrels.
I was waiting for the hail and the funnel.
Me too!! Thanks for watching! 😊
That is pretty cool, where is this?
This is in Stone County, Missouri near Lampe.
I have one of these are they are so fun!
We love it!! Our neighbor spoils us with gifts like these!
@@mycmills They are so much fun! I saw. cow one that I really want now...
Were there dogs sitting on the porch that whole time? He says "come on guys" at the end...wtf they didn't even move the entire time.
I had to rewatch it myself. I said "Goodbye guys" No dogs here yet, just my kitty cat. 🙂
We call this a squall , everywhere
I think it's a cone
Technically, yes. I guess it's name is the tricky triangle for the 3-D blueprint.. I agree, though it's a cone.
When the clouds looks green like that, it means that aliens are causing the storm. That's what I believe anyway.
It's gotta be aliens!! That's the only logical explanation I've heard yet! 🤣
What a nifty thing ! Looks fun.
It's pretty neat. It changes color when it gets warm, too! 😀
That cold air was from the gust front, descending rain cooled air rushing out of the storm. Probably around 70 MPH. For real excitement, try flying in one of those in a helicopter!
No thank you! I think I'll keep my feet on the ground. 😬
Tornado Alley!
Yes sir! Home sweet home!
I live in the Pacific Northwest and have not seen rain in weeks. I'm so jealous! 😢
It's on my bucket list to visit the Pacific Northwest! Everything looks so beautiful there! Thanks for watching! 🙂
Perfection. The reflection and perspective depth the finishing touches. Are you standing in the stream? 😊 Just lovely.
Thank you!! I'm actually sitting in a U.T.V. for the shot.
@@mycmills Fancy👍. Very nice.
Neat 👍. Would it surprise you to know, my gran's had that exact shredder. Gpa called it the grinder, used it for walnuts and peanuts in pies and cookies. Also for the salad fixins, cucs, carrots, green onions etc, and all the cole slaw ingredients. It worked great on the daily through the 1970s, '80s, and became a dirt refiner in the garden for the (edit: great)-grandchildren! Thx folks 💜. Take care.
That's awesome. Grandparents are the best! Mine raised me, and I'll be forever grateful to them. I have so many good memories thanks to them. It's a pretty cool gadget! We love it! They sure don't make things like they used to, unfortunately.
Whenever I've seen the green in oncoming storm clouds it usually meant high winds or hail or both. Whoever says it don't hasnt spent a lot of time outside enjoying a good rolling thunderstorm. Some of my favorite times in Mississippi as a child in Lee and Monroe counties were on my grandma's back porch watching the storms roll through. I got my son hooked on enjoying them and the thunder and lightning shows that go with them. We both still love em to this day and always will.
I had to laugh when you said it's like a Florida rain because I live in Florida, and that kind of storm is a common occurrence here. It's okay until you get caught driving in it, which has happened to me a few times. Scary, white-knuckle driving with the wipers on high, and you still can't see much! It can get so heavy that I can't see my neighbor's house across the street.
That was how it was when I visited family down there in Chiefland and Crystal River. Very intense storms and they said it was normal, get used to it. I do love storms though! 😃
@@mycmills Me too! I live in the Chiefland, Chrystal River area. 😊
That's the ticket 👍. The rain sound is perfect too. If you get longer rainstorms with lightening this winter, I'll be here for it. Thx.
My pleasure. 😊
No lightening. Disappointed.
I have a lightning video on my channel. Check it out! 😉
