this place has changed; no longer the curry mile. Its full of arab and turkish joints selling awful kebabs. The place has gone downhill and is now an absolute shithole!

I like Manchester a lot. The bar, shopping, restaurant and live music scene is buzzing. The place has gradually been transformed since the IRA Bombing. So many great places to visit too. Art galleries, science and industry museum, Manchester museum, National football museum Afflecks palace etc etc. The place is steeped in History. Manchester has its issues with drugs and homelessness just like any major city. That’s not the City’s fault. It’s the fault of the politicians.

Oldham uses’t to be a nice place, very rare I go to Oldham now, it’s almost gone like a 3rd world country town thanks to the Muslims and Eastern Europeans, Glodwick and Westwood heavy Muslim areas are absolutely a shit hole, it’s the Muslims that made it like that.

Used to come here with my granny a lot before she died, we always went around places like this in Oldham my most fond memories I’ve ever had. Missing her a lot.

The dapper gent near the very start on the corner by M&S is a well known face around town. Soooo well turned out. That is what I love about Manchester..Big city but still see faces around CC you recognize but do not know.

Enjoyed that stroll round Manchester. Traces my trail before each City home game - don’t go to 17 pubs but certainly a couple of those. The only pub I was completely unaware of was the Seven Oaks.

This video will have real meaning in years to come as people will look back at life in 2023

I remember when Britain used to make beautiful things and they were made to last, people these days just don’t appreciate the architecture around the cities anymore, it’s a shame, the horrible fencing put up these days is so sad is that an entrance to a bandstand or something ???

Bolton was hit hard by the decline of the cotton industry and both heavy and light engineering industries. The councils of all political parties have failed miserably since. Bad management, decisions and planning of the town centre. Bad management of non European immigration. Social housing schemes have been badly managed. Bolton has many sought after residential areas and has a wealthy population aside a growing population of poorer people. Bolton is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is very well connected transport wise with the rail and motorway network. Very close to Manchester it's an ideal place to live for the commuter. Out of town shopping parks within the Borough are thriving with shoppers from all the North West visiting. The council seems to have woken up and is with others investing in the town centre building affordable housing and moving away from retail in favour of social activities. I've lived in Bolton all of my 64 years and think I've given a fair opinion. A once proud town pulling itself out of decline and hopefully investing in a better future and becoming proud once again. 😊
