    At Belleville Salvation army, i hid what looks like a mechanics roller for working under cars on your back. Lower shelf in housewares. for YOU! Its stained wood. Has a kinda brown head pad. Black plastic wheels. It has a beautiful black painted KMART sign on it. Maybe 5 ft long. It stands out. Might be gone. I flipped it over so noone could read it. I drove the little vehicle and wasnt sure i could fit it in there and shift still. It would have gotten scratched up in the way back home.

      @camcordernonsense5264 11 дней назад

      Oh no! The asking prices for the dark stained versions are pricey. I should have asked them to hold it for me. I think it had other fine lettering along the bottom too. It's not the squeezed boxey square "kmart" logo either

      @jackson5116 11 дней назад

      Oh, nice! Thanks! Yeah, they're called creepers, I saw some at closing Kmart's, and the same, they wanted a lot for those things. They're really good for lying on your back while working under a vehicle, but really not much more since you're so close to the ground. I'll have to go to the Salvation Army- I know exactly where it is!

    That used to be a thriving area. When I lived there in the early 80s, I remember I hit the car in front of me accidentally in the drive-thru of the original McDonald's as a teenager. There was a Mr. Donut nearby where the cops would hang out. There was a Wendy's across the street when Wendy's was a new thing! There was a record store in the shopping center across the street where kids loved to hang out as well. This is really sad.

    I grew up in Belleville. I attended Roosevelt Elementary, Central Junior High, and Belleville West in 70s and 80s. I can remember that as a teenager, my friends and I would drive up and down Main Street for entertainment and hanging out! Thanks for this video. They're not alone, Madison recently surpassed St Clair County as the largest county in the Metro East, and we had been the largest county for decades, especially when East St Louis and Belleville together added up to over 100,000 people just within their city limits (probably around 150,000 together with fringes). I'm trying to stay optimistic with the new mayor, and she has good intentions, but I'm seriously doubtful she can curb the loss we keep experiencing, which is because of what you said, crime.
