That's the Way the World Goes Round - Prine
That's brilliant Brad. Thanks very much for sharing. [UK] P.s. Happy New Year mate.
Thank you, Tuck! Glad it was helpful. Happy New Year to you!
Took so long to get to the song your audience pissed off to the next video bro 👋
That's why I put in the notes "Song starts at 2:30"...but I understand you getting pissed because it appears reading isn't your strong suit...bro.
Try it in drop D ,,,, capo 2nd fret. Played in D Major
Very close.
🤣
Clever
Nice Ruby made me smile 😃
👏👏👏 you smashed it dude!!!😎👌🤘I'm just currently learned this one myself, remembering the lyrics and singing them in time to the guitar arrangement is proving to be very difficult, but I'm sure I'll get there😅 and your right it's so fun to play!!!😆👍✌
Hey thanks, bk! I appreciate it. Yeah the lyrics are tough. Breathing is toughest. You'll get it for sure! What's worked best for me is to get the guitar part down first to where I get the groove of the song, then the singing gets easier. Good luck!
@@bradaskew4900 thanks ☺ 👍 ✌️
Love this song!!!
what chord are you doing for the slide part?
Hi sheheryar, I'm just playing an F with the top and bottom strings open and sliding up two frets.
Hey Brad, greetings from Dublin Ireland - Thanks for the marvelous lesson. I've been trying to work this out for years. The ''double D' tuning did the the trick! Thanks again
Dublin, Ireland? Wow!! I'm in Vancouver, Washington USA! I'm really glad this helped you. Thanks for letting me know! Cheers!
i've been practicing your cover for over 2 months now and still struggling, i guess the guitar skill wasn't for me XD
This is amazing!
Glad you liked it GPK, thanks for the comment!
Well done, thank you.

Thank you for the lesson! Yes its all about the tuning. D and D and open D on the high E string. Brilliant. Must now memorize the lyrics, then I will get all the chicks! Thanks again.
Foobles! The clown that rocks! Thank you, brother. Play it in good health and happiness!! And give all those chicks my contact info!

Oh man! Love it. Wish i could sing. Great soulful cover Brad. Greetz from Hamburg, Jimmy
Thanks, Jimmy. I appreciate the shout out! Greetings from Portland, Oregon.
Thanks so much, on top of having great lyrics, this song is a blast to play!!
I wish you would do what Bob did, that ain't it. Sorry.....
He has done a great job..bravo Brad!
I agree with your interpretation. It's not about a poor rich man, it's about the narrator's fury with his life, that's why the chorus works so well at the end as it takes the focus back. I also agree that Paul Simon has more of a 'driving rhythm' and it marks that angry voice. You give a lot of ideas and tips. I love the sound of the top string tuned to D. It transforms the song. Thanks!!
Great cover! Could you do a lesson on how to play?
Thanks for the proper version cover! Do you mind doing a lesson on this song?
