You make many great points, that make me think. All this technology, being able just to touch a screen (not buttons) to make things happen on a phone, it occured to me a few days ago that my granddaughters will never know what using a phone used to be like. Growing up, our family was on a 'party line' that shared the phone connection with a small neighbourhood, we had to answer when it was 'our ring' (one long, two shorts). I was happy when that system advanced so your calls could be private. What wasn't needed to run the phones back then was electricity. We've advanced to become so dependent on electricity that it could be a downfall if the power grid gets knocked out. When you mentioned camping, the idea of no electricity became clearer. Without that power, there would be no electronics, like t.v.s and radios with advertising that creates the fear that dictates western life. The ads tell you that you lack things, go buy things, with electricity you can buy things, work to pay for things and 'on Thursday night, don't miss the trending tv series'-just to keep you on that work week grid and grounded to the grind. I couldn't get myself to commit to a full time job. I raised 2 daughters working part time(yes, their father worked full time), minimum wage jobs that fit around my family schedule. In my 40's I went to college and took nursing, I worked my last 14 working years (part time) as a personal support worker in long term care. As my parents aged and needed help, I was able to move in with them and help them through to 'transition'. I was never going to put them in a home and I didn't!!! No regrets. These days, I am learning to care for myself. It's a new concept to me and it's taking time to adjust to but videos from you, Jenn, help me see the richness in life. That I don't have to make huge gestures to keep life exciting, it's just exciting and interesting on it's own, I just have to enjoy it. (that goes for everyone).

Lol...The bling bling and the ching ching 😆🤣 Cute! You are right about how messed up society is. I don't think it's right to put your children in child care either as well as the elderly. This is why I never had children and they wanted to be a mom so badly. I could never be parted from my babies. Its so unnatural. And because society thinks that it's okay to do that they don't care about all the animals having their babies and taking them away, which is horrifying. Yes everything is so backwards. And it's really hard to make connections because everyone wants to keep to themselves so even if you want to connect there isn't anyone around to connect to that's willing. But you keep talking about it and hopefully things can change I don't know. 👍👍💓💞

Your right I know I have been, the past five years as became housebound through chronic illness and disability.. Yesterday I found out I have cervical spondylosis which has been bad for years but they wouldn't scan me.. finally got the truth Now We know what else were dealing with I am getting a Mobility scooter so I can get out more.. Not been camping for years due to my neck and back aww miss that xx

❤❤❤ Yeeees, nothing is more important than the connections we have with each other! That's what I already knew as a child and that's why the societal conditioning and expectations made my life very difficult as a young adult.. I was always SO sad because I always knew that working, having a career, having to pay to be able to stay alive etc. is not what I want. I still don't really know how to find my way, but at least I know now that I'm not crazy for wanting something different. Connections, love, joy.. That's what I want.
