15 year revival on a rare 1958 Fleet-Feather Craft boat
Просмотров 4075 месяцев назад
Part one on the revival of this 1958 Fleet-Feather craft 14ft aluminum boat. This boat was bought April 6 2024, the boat has been sitting since 2009, the boat was parked in the same spot covered for a while then left uncovered for at least a decade, the boat was moved recently to the spot it’s shown in the video. I will be keeping update videos as I progress on this boat. Please enjoy, like and...

Sorry for a bad audio, my phones microphone isn’t that good, if you have any further questions or input feel free to add them in the comments. I would recommend a smaller diameter peg as this one is a bit to big and you need to be up in the rpm on this set up for it to work good. Thanks for watching.

Turning a beetle into a roadster part 1
Просмотров 20 тыс.4 года назад
My friend buddy decided to chop the top off his 1974 Volkswagen super beetle and create a unique roadster, this is part 1 of many.
did suzuki and kx merge? why does that rm 65 look like a kx 65 lol
I have the same ranger 3, did you ever find were the serial number is?
>>Turning a beetle into a roadster<< Looks like you didn't.
If you make the seats with puckboard instead of wood wrapped with foam and vinyl it would be waterproof .
Mine was a lifeboat on a BC Ferry Hope to see the finished product .
Very nice boat . A lot of work and it will be beautiful and ready for anothe 60 yrs of fishing
I have a 15 ' 1954 and am looking for parts like steering wheel throttle windshield etc .
Cool looking boat. Gotta love that tumble home design of the stern. I wish my vintage project boat was going as smoothly as this one. Look forward to the videos.
Looking great! Enjoy seeing the progress.
Save yourself: sandblast lightly the complete inside & you'll have a new looking bilge. Also, I like many are searching for alternative ideas for windshield bracket. Your boat has just the thing. Thanks
Definitely a Canadian (Fleet or Welland) built Ranger III. The gold is very common. It was one of three finish options. The motor is a 28 or 33 hp Johnson from about 1966. You found all the common weak spots. The keel under the riveted plate in the front seat area will be leaking. Best to pull the plate and then clean and seal under it. Boat registration is very simple. It is all done online through Transport Canada. Good luck with your project.
why do they have to cuss, no class, uneducated a holes
Bro the ingenuity
is it possible to bolt the peg onto the driveshaft if you dont have a welder? or is there a different alternative?
There is yes, my recommendation is to start with a larger engine then the one I have, it’s far to underpowered for any kind of use and I even downsized the peg to get better gear reduction and it didn’t work, my suggestion is nothing smaller then a 32cc engine to start with, if the shafts output is like mine, all you have to do is drill the treads out of the peg if there is any, and put the flywheel nut on with some thread lock, I use the red since I don’t want it to come off, make sure though that you have at least 6-8 turns on the flywheel nut before it gets tight otherwise you won’t have enough threads grabbing and you will strip the end of your crank shaft
@@nerrawmitchell sounds cool thanks, my flywheel nut seems to be really really thin, can i email you a picture for reference?
Send it to my ig Ls4hunna
Made not bought, i like it. Nice triple lever action clutch. Wood pegs worked good for me on the friction drives. With your ingenuity here I think you are up to the challenge of a multi-speed friction drive.
Thanks for the comment I appreciate the admiration, I’ve already got one in the works, it’s going to be a 2 speed friction drive, I’ve also got a clutch to chain friction drive with a roller on bearings in the works too, I have videos on both but they’re not finished so I won’t post them until
Great video, would love to see more!!! If I was you I would employ P r o m o S M!!
Gas powered? Bit lame. At least with an electric one you can use it indoors like a regular mobility scooter AND blast down the road. That drive by looks closer to 26-27 mph btw
Very nice. It looks like a two wheel trike. I’ve seen bikes with a bigger wheel up front. It’s hard to make something unique with such limited resources.
good stuff sir
will u put a air filter on the carbruator because you are going to take in dirt and crap and really score the bore of the motor great video have you been to (rather be welding) he has heaps of stuff ,try his vids he has heaps he has been doing his stuff for a few years now
Oh definitely will be, I still have to do some final work to it over the winter and fix a few things that are wrong with it but for now I wanted to get a video out of it, I have seen his videos and have been watching them for years, I like what he dose, I’m not nearly as good of a fabricator, I like to build things that anyone could in a small shed or even outside, brings me back to when I was kid doing this with limited tools and parts even though I could just buy every tool and part I would need. Like my welder, I have a nice welder but I like trying to build things with a $150 flux core welder.
I never run filters on my puch 72cc airsal big fin estriol side bleed exhaust 19mm intake and 19mm polini cp carb 105 main jet gearing is 18x45 does 55mph with me on it and I weigh 260lbs. But this setup has been my daily runner for at least 3 yrs now idk how many miles but I ride it rain and snow if I got to and I've had no issues running no filter only issue is everybody says to use one . Yeah it's got a velocity stack filter lol
@@mikegamba580 for much of my builds I find myself not using a filter if it’s on the road, if it’s off road in the dirt I tend to do so and I plan on riding most of these motorized bikes on gravel roads with loads of dust, do you have any pictures or videos of your bike? I’ve always wanted to hotrod a moped
Thanks for the bike check 💯 great looking build 👌 the Tanaka is a good motor. I like to build friction drive bicycles 🚲 as well .
Thanks for the comment, I’ll be sure to check out some of your videos, I will say this engine has been quite reliable and powerful, I was going to make a video on one of those friction drive kits but it was so bad I scraped the idea and sent it back, better to just build my own
@@nerrawmitchell thanks for the reply 👍 i to have tried some of the kits and ended up building my own . I'll be posting a 20" predator Friction build this weekend. Your welcome to come check it out.
Dudeee part 2
Is there a part 2 yet?
Bro still hasn’t finished the build
Some time since last update, how is the project going.....?
Still sitting trying to find time to finish
@@nerrawmitchell Good luck with it, looking forward to see more...
WTF
Nice work dude! Did you made any kind of chassis reinforcements before the cuts?
where is part 2222222
Where is part 2?
