    2016 paper y did we change the formula for distance of latitude is it because we found the small r thats y we live cosx?

      Distance along a latitude and distance along a longitude use similar formulas. DISTANCE(d) FORMULA d = (theta/360°)×(2πR) theta = angle between two points on circle R = Radius of circle For the first question on distance, theta = 360° and R = radius of latitude 50°N. Now radius of latitude = radius of earth × cos(angle for latitude). Because the radius of latitude is not same as earth's that is why formula changed. Also, the first part was not included because 360°/360° = 1. For the following question, theta = difference in longitude and R = radius of longitude (earth).
