Just using them.

The mixer (Tefal Kaleo) has been with us for a long time, so i can´t tell from where it has been purchased. Anyways I doubt it would still be available for purchase :-) and the plastic blade is just generic equipment for pharmacies.

You mean all of the tools used, or just the one, where the melted base is poured? The specific one would be called "suppository mold or mould" - spelling depends on whether you prefer UK or USA english :-)

@@AX-fx7ng That would be "Spiritus sapo kalini" - potassium soap dissolved in ethanol. This can be generally used for all hydrophobic bases (cacao oleum, adeps solidus). For hydrophilic bases (PEG blends or glycerogels) you would lubricate with "Paraffinum liquidum" - liquid paraffin.

@@uftpharmmuni694 Thanks for responding. Sorry I did not see this for long. How do you heat it to perfect temperatures so that proper crystal happens? Any way to do it at home?

@@AX-fx7ng Unless you have a precisely regulated heater or water bath (meaning +-2 degrees of set temp control) your only chance is to mix properly, take out of heat source regularly (to avoid local mass overheat at the bottom of mortar) and look for that milkish state. At home I would recommend setting up a pot 1/4 full of a water and keep it just simmering. On top of that I´d put a mortar with CB so that it stays out of water and is heated only by steam (same way you´d do it for chocolate melting for example :-) ) Still all of the previously said would apply - mix, take out regularly, look for milkish state.
