Simple garlic scape stir fry
Definitely keep your eye out for these delicious veggies around May/June timeframe. They are super quick and easy to fry up and go with any dish. If you don't have oyster sauce, feel free to just use a bit of soy sauce or salt and it will be just as tasty.

Korean bibimbap in a cast iron bowl
Просмотров 1234 месяца назад
This is an amazingly delicious and well rounded dish. You get meat, veggies, rice, egg. All the flavors of sweet, salty, acid, spicy really come together with a lot of different textures from the crunchiness of the veggies to the creaminess of the egg.
Massive flames with outdoor stir frying cumin beef
Просмотров 861Год назад
This is a yummy and simple stir fry anyone can do. If you get a flame up like what happened in the video, don't panic...it will quickly go away. My wife just freaked out a bit and accidentally stopped recording, but we were able to continue cooking almost immediately after. Recipe: chopped cilantro chopped ginger 1/2 lb of beef or lamb 1 tbsp of cumin 2 tsp paprika 1-2 tsp of chili powder (adju...
Shanghai sweet and sour pork ribs - one of my favorite dishes

Every time I make this, I wonder why I don't make it more often. It's super easy. Just follow the video and you won't regret it. Ingredients: 2 lbs of cut up pork ribs 3-4 scallions 1-2" chunk of ginger toasted sesame seeds (optional) For the marinade: 1 tbsp light soy sauce 1 tbsp rice cooking wine For the sauce: 1 tbsp of chinese black vinegar 2 tbsp of sugar (rock sugar preferably) 2 tsp dar...
New Years 2 dish special - sweet and sour potato strings and pepper steak
Просмотров 419Год назад
Today, we make two really simple dishes with ingredients easily found in any grocery store. For the potatoes, you can easily forego the szechuan peppercorns and chilis. That's actually the version I grew up with. For the sauce, start with 1tsp of soy sauce, 2tsp of chinese vinegar, 2tsp of sugar per potato. Adjust amounts based on your own preferences - it's honestly hard to go wrong. As always...
Authentic szechuan style kung pao chicken - outdoor stir fry
Просмотров 4,9 тыс.2 года назад
This is the classic kung pao chicken dish. It's got a lot deeper of a flavor, and much sweeter than what you'd normally find in chinese restaurants. The star of this dish is the chicken, with some supporting peanuts. There are no carrots, celery, or water chestnuts, or any of that filler you might find in other variations of this dish. This version in, my opinion, way tastier, and way more flav...
I guarantee you've never had wings like this
Просмотров 8012 года назад
This is an absolute go-to dish for me. It's so easy to make, and I can do something a little different each time. It's way healthier than fried wings you'd find at restaurants, but just as crispy and tasty. The sauce itself is the key. You can really experiment and play around. I've tried all kinds of weird combinations, and honestly, it's always turned out awesome.
SMASH!!! burger. Best method for burgers ever.
Просмотров 2222 года назад
I've tried all kinds of different ways to grill a burger, and I'm telling you, this is it, and it's super easy to do. No thick burger patties here. If you want a thick piece of meat, go check out my steak video. A burger should not just taste like a giant piece of ground meat in between some bread. For me, the burger is all about that perfect blend of meat, cheese, toppings, sauce, and bun. Wha...
Beef chow fun - outdoor stir fry
Просмотров 30 тыс.2 года назад
Just recently got my outdoor wok burner and I've been dying to try making this dish at home. This dish in my opinion is the epitome of wok hei. You can still do this at home on a normal stove and it's still a delicious dish though. What I didn't explain well in the video is that you microwave the noodles for 1-2 minutes to loosen them up and then you can more easily pull them apart gently witho...
Hands down, the best way to cook steak.

I spent an entire summer trying out different techniques. I tried pan frying, grilling, sous vide, baking, reverse sear....I tried finishing with a torch, on the grill, on a cast iron pan....Trust me when I say this method will get you the best results! The smoke aspect is up to you and completely optional. This is a $10/lb choice ribeye from Costco. It's not an expensive cut, but after having ...
Pork belly buns - It's like a taco, but better

These pork belly buns are amazing, and super easy to make. Quick and easy classic fried rice

Welcome to my first of hopefully many cooking videos. This was one of the first dishes I learned to cook from my mom when I was young. I have since made some adjustments and added my own flair to it. Fried rice is just one of those awesome staples that's easy to whip up with ingredients that are usually on hand. Once you get familiar with it, you can cook this up from beginning to end in about ...

    • @wokkingwithdave2215
      @wokkingwithdave2215 Месяц назад

      I have the manual version. I would say it depends on your situation and needs. I always have a blowtorch handy. It's part of my kitchen tools, so bringing it with me to start it isn't a huge deal. That said, electric is still just a bit more convenient, so if you want convenience above all else and your budget can withstand it, just splurge a bit.

    • @wokkingwithdave2215
      @wokkingwithdave2215 Месяц назад

      Cause I got my outdoor kitchen area built now, so having it sit on top of the counter and workspace just works better. It's also a lot more stable...the legs are a bit wobbly. They're a decent temporary solution, but for a more permanent setup, you really want a better stand with more heft.

    Put on an apron so you don't end up with splattered oil messes all over your shirt. It probably would be better if you had raised the height up a few inches. Looks a bit low to me. Your cooking ingredients doesn't look like it's at a good placement location. You need to have it more accessible and easy reach with inches rather than having to turn your back to reach for things.

      Good question. I'm wondering the same thing. I can toss stuff by lifting the pan in the air. But I'm hoping to achieve this by sliding, because the carbon steel wok that I have is pretty heavy (4.5 lbs without any food in it).
