    Thank you for sharing this post as it is extremely informative. Where I am from (Northern Canada) using dog fibre to make clothing, lining or accessories is not unusual. I have been collecting and storing the fibre from my five dogs (Maremmas and a Suberian Husky) since 2011. Now I am finally in the position where I can actually do something with it. Four of them have since passed; it will be interesting to see what I can make from their gifts.

    Hi ! I have the same e spinner and have a struggle with the tension when plying … I find I have to hold on to the yarn being plied ( outside of the spinner) and my hand even shakes while keeping hold of the yarn … the problem is I can’t reduce the tension it is already completely loose… I hope you understand.. the spring has no tension and it still pulls too much … I end up with yarn not enough plied … any idea what to do ? Thanks 🙏

    • @rehashfiber
      @rehashfiber 18 дней назад

      My only advice is continue to make adjustments with tension and speed until you get the result you want. If you cant get to that point then get in person help from your local yarn store, fiber friend, or call The Woolery or other business that sells the e-spinner and ask for help. Best wishes. ~Shiree

    I love this! Your punis were so lovely and fluffy. I totally agree that it's better to keep them lighter and fluffier than dense, especially with a more textured fiber. With a very smooth, machine processed cotton, if I turn it into dense punis it spins very nice, but with anything more "rustic" I get better control with more air in the fibers. This was three years ago? Are you drowning in cotton yet? I can't believe how prolific just nice plants were!

    Happy to have found your video! I just cast this on two days ago. Question about the increases: where the chart indicates a right listed increase followed immediately by a left lifted increase, do you first knit the stitch from where your right lifted increase originated before doing the left lifted increase? Thanks!

    • @rehashfiber
      @rehashfiber Месяц назад

      Hi, Thanks for checking out the show. Hopefully you've gotten your answer by now as I was out of town and not on the internet. I see what you're talking about in the chart. The side by side left lift and right invisible lifts only happened once in the chart and frankly I don't remember. I usually watch the tutorials that are suggested on the pattern to figure stuff out if I don't automatically know the answer. In the Abbreviation section she has the links to the tutorials. Good luck. I'd love to see a picture when you're done, and I'll share it on the show if that's okay. All the best. ~Shiree

      The Ashford Joy 2 is a fantastic everyday, portable wheel. I purchased the Wooly Winder for it because I didn't want to have to stop to adust the flyer. If you want to do art yarn without limitations in amount of size and weight then get the Ashford Country Spinner. It's huge and holds 2 lbs. of yarn. Best wishes. ~Shiree

      If it's wool you can needle felt the ends together as you go. Another option is grafting the ends together ( I don't have a show on that yet). Also you can do a magic knot with the ends. Thanks for watching. ~Shiree
