However, the cost of importing one privately is punative, the UK Government tax anything and everything. There is VAT at 20% plus an additional import tax. As a student in 1976 I saw Valdy and the Hometown Band perform in a small venue at Mercer University, Macon Georgia. It changed my life. I was a guitar player but I had never seen the kind of musicianship I saw that night. I was blown away by Shari. I will never forget the goosebumps I got during ‘Flying’. It’s a comfort to me still to know that goodness, creativity, beauty is deep inside of us.
