Vajsnava Acarya Song Nbr1
Music is in the public domain. Recorded by American 1960s hippies in early 1970s. They recorded 7 songs, but never released them. Instead, they passed out cassette tapes. Great example of devotional singing by the lady. These songs are inspired by India mantras and prayers.

Song I wrote, recorded in 1981 in Portland, Oregon. About Russia taking over something back then. I overlaid images with recent news. Nothing has changed.

Love Has No Time, performed by The Sound Explosion 2019

2019 Athens Greece. My song, Love Has No Time, performed by the Sound Explosion. I'm very pleased that the crowd recognizes one of my songs on our Miracle Workers album, Inside Out. Which was released back in 1985. I also wrote the guitar riff that you hear. I felt really good, seeing the crowd sing along with the chorus.

Back around 1987, I met a young Mexican lady, while I was living in L.A. She was up here in the U.S. applying for some kind of visa/green card. Several months later, I ran into her and she was totally depressed. She said the Immigration people denied her application and she has 3 days to return to Mexico, otherwise, she will be deported. She had so much sadness and a lost look in her eyes. Coup...
Already Gone (solo) 2009 Danny D with tribute band
Просмотров 3754 года назад
2009: We put together a one-night Miracle Workers tribute band. I'm playing my original guitar parts (including my solo) on our MWs recording. I also added an improvised 'raga' style solo (which was not on our record). My girlfriend videoed this on her cheap phone. "I pushed a button, and hoped it was working.", she said. So, sorry for the crappy video quality. I'm playing a different guitar th...

1979: Written, recorded by Ice 9, Portland punk rock band, that Eddie Morgan and I (Dan Demiankow) were in. Eddie (singer); Me (guitar); Michael lee (bass); Jeff Grassi (drums). That synth sound you hear is actually my guitar going thru some effects box on the floor. Eddie and I wrote this song. Soon to be released on Poison Idea's label, American Leather Records, along with a bunch of other so...
Danny D (the Miracle Workers) and Pam visit Gresham, Oregon on Christmas (1989)
Просмотров 3524 года назад
In the last half of the 1980s, Pam and I lived in LA. We came back up to Gresham on Christmas vacations and visited Pam's parents. Pam borrowed their old fashioned VHS camcorder (having never used one before) and shot us driving to the Gresham Park.
You Don't Know - Live at The Wow Hall

Song from a video of The Miracle Workers performing at The Wow Hall 1985. Sometimes, for fun, we would play a loose jam on a song as taking a break from playing our tight, packaged songs that we play over and over exactly the same way. So we do a loose song for ourselves to have fun. L to R as you are watching the video, Me (Danny D) playing the Vox guitar, Joel on bass, Gene on drums, Gerry Mo...
The Window by Vertical Hold

1982: In between bands, Ice 9, and The Miracle Workers, I formed a New Wave band called Vertical Hold, with Jeff (was drummer in Ice 9), Ingrid - singer, songwriter, keyboards, and Ramona - bass. Band was short lived, but we did record some songs. Also played a couple shows in Seattle and opened for Romeo Void (at Luis La Bamba). Ingrid wrote/sang this song.

1982 New Wave. After Ice 9 broke up, Jeff (Ice 9's drummer) and I formed a New Wave band called Vertical Hold. It had a brief existence. We played 2 shows in Seattle, and opened for Romeo Void in Portland (at Louis La Bamba). Ingrid wrote the songs, sang, and played keyboard. Ramona played bass (her first band). I played guitar. Jeff Grassi played drums. In 1983, I joined The Miracle Workers. I...

1970 Steve and I demonstrate how to get rides and wow the girls. Usually, I did this routine with Scott Whitman on Van Nuys Blvd. Sometimes Steve would join us. Steve Diamond is a singer/songwriter. I'm a songwriter, was in bands The Aftermath (1960s); Ice 9 (1970s); Miracle Workers (1980s). This was filmed (8mm) at Scott Gius's house in Laural Canyon.

This is off our "Inside Out" album (1985). I wrote this in the traditional 1960s style.
Cannot underestimate how Pebbles and Pych Unkowns comps set off a revival across continents in 1979.
LYRICS, PLEASE!
Some kind of new distraction, came up into my mind The moment that I saw your eyes. I want to tell you this, girl, you've got that everything That turns the mountains into wine. [chorus] Love has no time. Love has to time to hide. I know that you've been thinking, "Does anybody care, Is there an answer to be found." Don't wait for answers, baby, don't wait for anything. Just call me when you're feeling down. love has not time to hide
@@THEREALDANNYD Top tier song, Dan!

Thanks for liking my song. It’s based on a true story when I met this hot lady at a party. We didn’t hook up. I didn’t get the girl, but I did get a song out of it.

Rocking band
Best ever Garage band of all time! Plenty of phantastic bands sharing second place but only one Miracle Workers! 🎯
Many thanks for liking our band. It was a work of love and passion for that style of music.
Wow! It’s Danny himself!! Seriously, I have 1000+ LP’s and “Inside Out” is the one album I never get tired of… also, it’s featured in every Bar here in Bergen/Norway that plays Vinyl. Only got one chance to see you guys live, though, in Hamburg in the spring of ‘87, by which time you had already left, but it was great, still!! (But got me into massive trouble at home as I was only 15 and should have been doing my homework or something… 😄) Thank you so much for the music, the band was definitely a serious cut above with your organ and musical impact onboard!
@@oleplanthafer7034 Thanks for the info. Bergen/Norway!? Wow! One of the things on my to-do list is to spend 3 days in Longyearbyen/ Svalbard Norway. I've been following this lady on RUclips for at least a year. She lives there with her boyfriend and dog. I wish I could live in Longyearbyen, but could only visit at this time. I want to save up money and go there for 3 or 4 days. I love Norway, and watch train trips that are posted on RUclips, and other travelers that post their visits to Norway. You are very lucky to be living in the most beautiful country in the world. And thanks for being a fan and telling me our music is played there. Here's a link to one of Cecilia's postings. I've subscribed to here channel. BTW, there are still some unreleased MWs recordings that I have and I want to mix them down and release them soon. ruclips.net/video/mFtK1lxooHc/видео.html
Love it. Inside Out is a great rocknroll album in any era.
Driving past Gresham High School, the alma mater of Miracle Worker Matt Rogers.

Thank you Dan, you are my favorite band of all time, I have all your vinyl LPs and I never get tired of listening to them. I am particularly proud to own "Overdose" in purple vinyl marble effect. Ciao from Italy
Killer Album only saw them once in Holland absolutely a great show and later we shared some other things and our evening endet up in Amsterdam's red light district 🤣🍻💊 RnR mate
Cool song Dan! Really cool lyrics. Glad I stumbled across this! I also got the courage to put some of my songs on RUclips some months ago so finding other originals like this one is always cool and inspiring to me. Keep up the awesome work 🙂
Jackson, thanks for liking my song.
Some nice glimpses of Gresham 30+ years ago. Especially like the field along Main St. between Burnside and Eastman...it's a big strip mall now.
Thanks, Jay. Yeah, I know all the development that's been happening. I live in Gresham. Thanks for liking the video.
Did anybody knows what this guys doing now? I loved them in the early 90s. Great stuff!
Gerard, Hi, this is Danny D, guitarist, keyboard in the MWs. I wrote this song. Where is everybody? 3 of us (Gerry (singer); Matt (guitar); Joel (bass)) live in the Portland, Oregon area. And we have jobs. Gene, the drummer lives in Southern California. I'm not aware of any of us currently playing music. Thanks for liking our band.
Did anybody knows what this guys doing now? I loved them in the early 90s. Great stuff!
Prima volta che li vedo live... grazie grazie grazie L'album è F A N T A S T I C O !
I saw Miracle Workers in Mortegliano, Italy, in 1988. Great show, great night... Thank you
Best song ever
Thanks for liking it. I wrote this song, based on my meeting a hot chick at a party.
Love this song! I am glad to learn that you wrote it, Danny! That whole LP was amazing, but I have not heard it in many many moons...
you rocked Rome, Italy, a few times back in the days and I was always at your shows... one of the best live bands I have seen in my life! (and I have seen many...)
Saw MW..few time..they blow me evry time...still remember 'em...they're AWESOME !!!! Real Garage Punker'...cheers to all of yu...
One of my al time fave bands, I was blown away when you opened for the Gun Club..though to be fair JLP was not in the best form that night, though Kid Congo and Patricia were. Saw you a month later opening for the Long Ryders in Corvallis and i was hooked for good, thank you so much for the music Danny, I do have to apologize to you for the world to see though for stealing your can of Dr Pepper at the Dead Kennedys gig in Corvallis later on . I scored a VHS copy of this gig at Ranch Records back in the day, its sad that I cant watch it anymore at the moment
Thanks, Allan, for being a fan. I don't understand why you can't see a video you were talking about. BTW, are you sure this was a video of us at the Corvallis show, or was it the Wow Hall show. I'm sorry you can't watch it. What's the reason?
@@THEREALDANNYD I should have been more precise with my words, i can see this clip just fine, its the entire show on a VHS tape that I cannot watch at the moment . Hope springs eternal etc. lol. Thanks again !!
I saw them in San Francisco with The Morlocks at The Farm in 1986. One of the greatest shows I've ever seen to this day.
Edwin, thanks for enjoying our SF show.
@@THEREALDANNYD How can I get an mp3 for the Insude Out Album. I used to have on vinyl back in the day, but lost it by moving around so many times. Love that album.
@@edwinflores9063 We don't have MP3s. A few years ago, we got control, ownership of our Inside Out album, including the master tapes (the big reels). But, the other guys (not me) don't really care about re-issuing. I care. As soon as I get a job, I will work on making a re-relese of the album, probly MP3s on iTunes and other sites (like Spotify), and probly make a CD. And we will look into a vinyl maker to release some vinyl records. Meanwhile, we also have some unreleased music of songs I wrote that we recorded after I left the band in 1987. About 5 songs, so that will be an EP. When I get a job, I will save up some money and go to Abbey Road Studios (London) and have them mixed down for release. All this release info will happen on our fan site facebook.com/groups/500889519955050/
@@THEREALDANNYD Right on, I hope I'll be the first to be contacted on that once you're done with that project. In another note, what do you do nowadays?
@@edwinflores9063 I "retired" from rock n roll in 1989. Then became a software engineer for the last 30 years. My current passion is fingerpicking on acoustic guitar Irish/Celtic, Classical, and some Blues music. I should be getting my repretoire up to "performance level" in about a year, then I will start playing around town, and then in England, Europe. That's about all. Not much else happening around here.
... Love from Italy...
I'm from OR and didn't know of this band until Josh Homme talked about them in an interview. I knew of The Wipers from Portland but not much else.
My boyfriend's band played right before these guys this very night at WoW Hall!!!
On vinyl :D scratch.....scratch.....scratch
I was a big Miracle Workers fan and I was especially impressed that one of their members had a song on a Pebble ! Hello Dan !
Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Are you talking about my 1960s band, The Aftermath?
@@THEREALDANNYD I do !
Brilliant
Thanks, Scott. This may be my favorite song I wrote when in the band. The other guys also wrote songs (that I love).
best garage band ever ☠️💣☠️
I played in a band called The Dwindles that opened for you at Reed College in '85. MW played one of my favorite live sets ever that night.
Thanks, Scott. Sorry I don't remember your group. Then again, I don't remember 80% of the shows we played. It's all kind of a blurred memory of seeing tops of heads (from stage) bobbing up and down, dancing to the music.
Masterpiece
TOMMASO POLLANO, thanks for liking this song. One of Gerry’s best songs.
I remember this song...
one of the best garage album of the history
Awesome band 🏴☠️
Bordel c'est toujours aussi bon d'écouter ce son!!!toute ma putain de jeunesse!!!
Thank you, Raynald!
Wonderful song, great garage sound, style a lot. One of the best, leaders of the pack. The 80 revival Garage USA were them. Cheers!
Manel, Thanks for liking this song. It may be my favorite that I wrote. According to BMI, it's still played in other countries (mainly Europe). Here's our fan site on facebook facebook.com/groups/500889519955050/
