I have the same thing. Just got my radio last week.
Greg Carlin Hi Greg, hope it doesn't annoy you too much, I seem to remember that you can change the scale so it's not visible. I sold mine but I have to say that it still has the best sounding receive of pretty much any radio I've ever had.
