I like to be able to see how exactly games play instead of just hearing about rules, these videos are just that. I try to focus on some of the games that maybe don't get a lot of videos made about them, but I am limited to games that are in my collection. I also do not have any fancy video editing programs so unfortunately the videos are basic.
The Opulent 4/4
This full ending is just for fun. The game ended at about 5:04 with the end of the Manager's turn, I totally forgot about last call. Once the Patron deck ran out, at the start of the Manager's next turn, there was supposed to be 3 coins placed on the Manager's card and once these ran out the game was over. So, I ended with 7 clues and about 23 dollars.

This time around I play the 2nd scenario for the campaign. I did mess up in the fact that whenever someone stays at the bar they are supposed to be moved to the back of the line and I did not do this.

The game does seem to be faster than Thunder Alley, I don't know if it really is or not. This has to do with there being more high speed cards and NPC's not taking wear damage for using these cards, which helps in moving your cars further.

I did mess up with the set-up where there should have been 8 more neutral NPC cars, hence the reason you have so many cards, every race should have 22 cars. You should still get a good idea of how the game plays. Racing gets started at about 9:12.

This play through was actually more tense than I thought it was going to be and I learned to not mess with the Spectral Ghostbusters.

I thought this was going to be the end, but I was wrong. I'm also pretty sure that I did not accurately keep track of the Experience Points during it all. I also missed some of the early Fearsome Flushes sliming on a missed attack.

Excellent playthrough/showcase of the game! Your videos helped me decide to purchase this game and having so much fun with it!
Thunder Alley is a great game. I'm not even into stock car racing and I believe this is one of the greatest car racing games out there.
How many turns does Panic and Horrified last?
Panic is a result of losing a fight to Otis, so it's conditions only last until the end of the required movement from Panicking. Horrified lasts until the end of your next turn.

If you play solo, shouldn't you give NPCs points?
I have been watching this since I am getting this game soon in the mail and watching this it is very cool to see how it is played but man the mistakes of leaving the green cars behind when they all should be with the pack still.
What kind of sleeves are those?
Quite honestly I don't even remember any more. They are the cheaper version since they are very thin. I think they might have been some Mayday sleeves.
Thx for the game play, its a great help to getting startet. 4:20 (7.6.2 Tire TYPE chance minimum one time during the race) For example , if a car starts the race with soft tires, it must chance its tires to Hard or Wet at some point during the race. I assume that you will always use at least 2 different tire TYPES in the race.

Are the solo rules in the game rule book, please ?
This will answer both comments. I don't believe there are solo rules in the rulebook but because the game is cooperative you can play multiple roles without issue. The games AI tells you how the game will react and when you move the pieces going towards Canada you will always try to do whatever is going to help you win the game. With it being cooperative you don't need it to be objective. When I solo play games that are competitive I stay objective by always doing whatever is best for the side I'm playing, just as a real opponent would.

It's a cooperative game so for this one the movement does not really have to be objective, but whenever I play games solo I'm always trying to perform the best move for whichever side I'm playing at the time.

Yeah, it's pretty fun even playing solo. I guess there's some AI but it is very basic. The game does what it needs to do.

Hi. I am pretty certain that rules state that Deckhands never move around the board, you add them. 2.40. All in all though a great playthrough.

I actually think it's a little better than Thunder Alley. The use of the NPCs creates a lot more strategy.

you had those treasures on tiles to the left and right of the dinghies the whole game! alternatively, could've grouped together earlier to rush those and get them off the ship a lot quicker. you risk increasing the fires beyond fighting but one round of each player would have easily got all the treasure off, kinda like you did at the end. fun game and super challenging.
Why did you chose to go last with #4? You could have had a couple extra points by just moving forward.
The game is definitely made for 4 players, and I've heard mixed reviews as well. I've never felt too much of an issue playing with 2, but I might just be used to it now.
How is the 2-player experience? I've heard mixed reviews, but really want to get this game.

At 12:50 you placed a tile wall adjacent to a tile door. No can do. All tile walls and doors must match up with the adjacent tile.
At 21:30 he also places one with the doorway facing out into the ocean. Since you can't place tiles below the starting tile's edge, that'd be a mistake.

So how do you store the minis in the box? The Phoenix is enormous.
+perkidanman For the most part you don't. I was able to get all the promo and base game mini's to fit into the raised box like section section in the middle. The Phoenix is much too large and just hangs out.

+mportillo78 Yeah, it was damaged during shipping. Not a completely huge deal to me since inside everything was good, and after all this time I'm just glad to have the game finally.
+Tyrone Boyd I would not be cool with that. 3 years is a long time to wait for a damaged box. that's the first thing I've been wantimg c to look for in these vids. I noticed they aren't very protected in the initial packaging box. I hope mine is ok!
+mportillo78 Yeah, it's true that it was a very tight fit in the box and there was not any protection other than that outer cardboard box. I hope your box is okay as well.
What is the hunt track made out of? it looks flimsy.
