Using measurement time more efficiently with machine learning

This short video compares two measurement approaches: On the left, the distribution of the measurement points purely according to a schematic grid approach; on the right, the active learning measurement method for which hardly any measurement points lie in the noise region. Das Video vergleicht zwei Messansätze: Links die Verteilung der Messpunkte rein nach einem schematischen Gitteransatz, rec...

The tour guide at FRM2 forgot to tell us that the reactor is one of the rare occurrences were you can see Cherenkov radiation - when particles move faster than the speed of light (in water) 😳

Werden die mit den Neutronen durchleuchteten Gegenstände dann radioaktiv?

Nein, similiar to Xray imaging, neutrons just ionize the object's atoms. Only certain elements can become radioactive after their nucleus captures a neutron and nuclear fission occurs. But I believe the energy of neutrons used in this application is not that high. (Verziehen mein englisch)
