Scientists FINALLY Opened The Tomb Of Alexander The Great After Thousands of Years!
Before his death, Alexander made a notable request to be recognized as the "Son of Zeus Ammon" and specified that he did not wish to be buried alongside his father, Philip, in Aegae.
Early historical sources reveal that following Alexander’s sudden passing in Babylon in 323 BC, his body was mummified in the style of the Pharaohs and placed in a golden coffin, with plans to transport it to Siwa.
However, this request was not honored. The funeral procession carrying Alexander’s body was intercepted in Syria by one of his generals, Ptolemy I Soter.
