I never would've predicted that we would end up in Sofia, but it happened to be a good place to catch a train to Istanbul. It turned out to be an interesting place to stay for a couple of nights... and that's all I'll say.

Soaring temperatures, a bunch of old buildings and countless gyros made up the trip to Athens. Thankfully the beach wasn't too far away so we could cool down when we needed...

An unexpectedly beautiful stop on our journey. Many people have many opinions about this city, but we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The passion of the people and the traditional singing were my highlights.

The capital of the Roman Empire did not disappoint. There was something new to see around every street corner. I think everybody should go to this place at least once in their lifetime, and have at least two massive gelatos while they are at it.

Sculptures everywhere! Ornate churches! Opera in the streets! Florence was everything I hoped for and more. Bruneschelli's dome was a highlight for me despite getting rained on after the arduous climb to the top.

This iconic place was our second stop in Italy, and we definitely made the most of it! An entire day was spent roaming the island and discovering hundreds of streets which could all be a painting in their own right. What this video doesn't show is the thousands of other tourists doing the exact same thing...

The fashion capital of the world! We had a great time here exploring the city and trying some of the best sandwiches ever. A highlight for me was Foundazione Prada, a unique art gallery just outside of the city.

Our only stop in Switzerland was in the beautiful Geneva. We could barely afford to do anything but absolutely loved seeing the Swiss Alps and trying some of the famous chocolate.

My favourite city I visited in France was full of rich heritage, culture and delicious food - not to mention one of the best public gardens I've seen in Europe! I would love to go back.

A hidden gem in the south of France is Lapradelle! We were put up by the lovely Louise who showed us around the countryside and caught us up on all the village gossip. The highlight for me was the cave church hidden deep in a nearby gorge.

We loved Barcelona! The incredible architecture, culture and atmosphere of the place won us over instantly. I would love to go back any day. The highlight for me was Sagrada Familia, the stunning basilica that is still a work in progress.

Valencia was a fun little stop on our journey through Spain. Two days filled with whacky buildings, excellent markets and orange trees everywhere!

Seville was one of my favourite cities that we visited in Spain. What's not to love with stunning weather, buildings, horses and pints of beer for 2 euros. Not to mention, flamenco!

We had never heard of this town before coming to Portugal, but we absolutely loved it! Golden sandy beaches and warm weather made it the perfect place to relax after the chaos of travelling in big cities.
