I had the immense pleasure of hearing the late Nanci and the late John Prine perform this song live, although on different occasions, at the Cambridge Folk Festival. A stunningly poignant song, beautifully delivered.

This is my favorite song from a concert Peter Rowan gave in De Bilt, Netherlands (november 5, 1987) for an audience of 28 people. Yet he performed as if he was entertaining a crowd. Super! The concert's tape recording is now of low quality, so I'm glad to find a version of appr. the same quality, I mean in the way he sang it. Thx for sharing
