Conquering The Thin Air | Pyramid Peak
The tallest peak in Desolation Wilderness is the prominent Pyramid Peak, standing just shy of 10k at 9,985 ft above sea level. That height and the unique biome it creates makes for some unique photos and a great day hike!

10 Days North of the Arctic Circle | A Once-in-a-lifetime Experience
Просмотров 70 тыс.Год назад
This trip brought us 150 miles North of the Arctic Circle to hunt, fish, and photograph the landscape. Up there, nature is so wild and untamed it feels surreal; it is so remote the silence can be almost deafening. I am happy to share the experience I had through my videography and photography, even if it took a while to coalesce into this video. Although I know nothing I could bring home could ...

The views/angles in this vid are awesome! Great captures. Also, love the editing style and music usage in this video. +1 Like :D
Such a soft world we live in that you have to put a warning up about hunting and fishing. Great video btw!
No views? I dunno I think to me it looks like there are plenty of views!!

Good work
Does mom always wear the "same shirt" there. Lol
Can I mention one thing. Everything was good. Camera angle, picture info, but..... I had a hard time hearing the words. Other than that. Well done 👍
Yes I agree. I realized early on that sound is an important part of the video experience so I have upgraded my audio since this video!
Love the night time shot
Good camera work. I know your mom. I had breakfast with you at the river one morning. Glad you kept it private.
Nice video man! How much weight do you guys normally try to keep your packs at?
My current base weight without food is around 25 lbs (10 lbs are camera gear).
Is “base weight” include like pack, tent, sleeping bag, etc, without food? So of that 25lbs, 10 lbs is camera gear?
Yep, the camera gear weighs more than my "big 3" (backpack, sleep system, and tent)
(release birch)
Good job on this one ry guy!
I love that area. I hope you hiked back by the Sandridge trail. I would also highly suggest doing the firetower on top of the Sierra Buttes.
The fire tower seems like an excellent day hike. I will have to check it out this summer!
My Dad flew a Helio in the 1960's and '70's a H-391B I spent many hours in that one, he was on tundra tire's or Federal wheel ski's ( Canadian Arctic ) Loved that plane.
I don't want to get ghost banned so release birch
Best video yet. I always look forward to these, and the production quality on this one is off the charts!
Just saw your latest video, very good, I was viewer number four
What’s the wolverine eating out there?
My guess would be berries, carrion, and any arctic squirrels they can catch!
And was that a loggerheaded shrike?
Could be! My bird ID leaves something to be desired!
Haha, I looked it up and is actually a Northern Shrike
Were those fish grayling?
They were hungry Pike!
Redwoods always reset the spirit....
Aww hell yea way to kick up a Sunday evening
Hell yeah name drop my boy oxalis oregana
I climbed to the top in summer of 1985 absolutely beautiful area. My parents brought me camping in the high country of Yosemite most summers in the 60s starting in 1960. We would stay in the “Meadows”. As I recall I wound up having to free wheel it up the last mile or so as you did. Couldn’t find a distinct trail. What a great view.
Dang good production, very personable presentation, lots of bears? Some large firecrackers 🧨 would have given those that came around camp what for and prob not impacted your hunting given the passthrough rate of wildlife? Bet those trout tasted good and that chilly looked mint.
Very well done, thank you for sharing. A friend and I spent 10 days in the NE section of the ANWR. Amazing area, unfortunately we did not see as many animals as we hoped to. What is the approximate area you were in? Looks a little farther south than we were.
