You’ll have to consular confirm your documents which is a process done by the Korean embassy. However before consular confirming at the embassy there are other due processes your documents must undergo. I have a video under my GKS playlist that explains in detail “how to legalize/authenticate your documents for GKS” I highly recommend watching that for clarification. 2. For university track application, you will need to send your documents via a courier service such as DHL to the specific university you’re applying to. 3. Usually it takes a week or more to deliver (they offer express delivery services too which might be lesser days)

@@ElifZeren-v4w for embassy track, you have to prepare 4 sets of documents. 1 for embassy and 3 for 3 different universities. Yes you can use the same study plan, recommendation letter, study plan etc for all 4. However if SKKU requires a document of approval of an adviser professor to work with then you should attach that to the SKKU set of documents. I hope this answers your question cause I’m not too sure

I recently studied guidelines very minutely and i found this statement which shattered all my hopes. Applicants who are expected to graduate by July 31, 2025 must submit a transcript that includes all semester grades up to the time of application. In addition, they must submit their final academic transcript to the GKS Center, NIIED, by July 31, 2025, after acceptance. The final transcript must be apostilled or consular-confirmed. i cannot apply without a transcript 😞.

Please check there to know when you can send your documents cause university deadlines are different from those of the embassies

@@akshuu. Hi, score percentile and percentage are the same. Since your transcript has the percentage, write 85/100 in the converted CGPA column. If your transcript also reflects your CGPA (for example 3.72/5.0) then refer to Appendix A on the conversion table to see what percentage it falls under and fill that in the “score percentile column” however if your transcript doesn’t indicate CGPA, on the GKS form it says “Highlight the CGPA on your transcript e.g., 18.3/20 If the transcript does not indicate the grading scale, submit a supplementary document describing the university’s grading system” Please read the instruction written each column carefully All the best ✨

@@enobongekanem4950 Your legalized copy of your transcript is what you have to submit. Have the transcript in all your set documents (not just the original set) do not submit the copy given to you by your university as all documents submitted for the application can not be retrieved

@@cala1. 1. No, it’s not a problem, the most important thing is if your graduation certificate has the exact date of graduation. 2. If your “cumulative grade point average”(CGPA) not GPA is equal or above the following then you can apply for GKS (regardless of your school’s grading on 100 point scale) 2.64/4.0 2.80/4.3 2.91/4.5 3.23/5.0 Since you won’t be submitting the original which is on an A3 paper anyway. You’ll have to scan the document and print it out on an A4 paper. Whereas according to the GKS guidelines your documents should be in English or Korean. In the case of any other language then you should prepare a translated version “• Documents written in other languages: documents written in a language other than English or Korean must be submitted together with a certified translation obtain apostill or consular confirmation on either original document or certified translations”

@ My graduation documents (transcript and diploma) are prepared in Turkish and English, with English explanations in brackets and Turkish text in larger font. I also plan to have these documents apostilled after having them approved by my university with wet signature and stamp. Are the English explanations of these documents considered sufficient, or are only English-language documents required? Are the documents prepared in Turkish-English valid for the GKS application after they are approved with wet signature and stamp and apostilled?

If you are applying via the embassy track then your recommender needs to provide you with 4 copies of the recommendation letter. 1 for your original document set and 3 others for the other sets of documents.

Well, they are part of the "application forms" as such advisable to print them out in an order from form 1-10. That was what I did for my application.

Possibly you apply via the university track as embassy track applications close as early as February, whereas some universities receive applications until late March.

@@Ssaemng Thank youuu I posted this as a separate comment on this video, if you could have a look at it please Thank you so much for this video, i have few questions, i have been hearing since last year and it's in the guidelines that NIIED might not return your documents to you, so for instance, my certificate from uni , if i submit the original one. I am not getting it back. I cant collect certificate twice, it is only once. So how do i do this, and they dont accept photocopies, only orginal. Does it mean that for legalization, the ministry provides another document for me or it is on that my original copy they do the legalization, also if i wamt to have as many legalized copies as possible, how do i get this? Just wannt to prepare for the worst case scenario

@@sebastineodeh8612 Hi Sebastine, yes you can not retrieve your documents once submitted hence avoid applying with the original set provided to you by your university . When you take your documents for legalization, you’ll need to make photocopies and take alongside. Those photocopies will be legalized alongside the originals. The legalized photocopies is what stands as your original copies which you will submit for GKS application. Another question @Ssaemng the part of the gpa, for someone who did 5 years in bachelor's degree, I can add the column for 5th year right? Also the part of the personal statement and study plan, does it mean that I can delete those instructions like motivation and so on? Does the position of the lecturer matter in recommendation?

@@sebastineodeh8612 1. yes, it says to modify so you can modify to add your 5th year. 2. Please carefully read through every instruction before deleting anything. In the box for personal statement and study plan it is written: "....Please delete the instructions before submitting the application" 3. the position of the lecturer doesnt matter. The most important thing is the context of their letter.

If so then, You have to choose the appropriate field. Since humanities isn’t available in point 3 of the application form, don’t choose social science or another, leave that. Move to point 5 and fill the university name, field of study, department and major

@@noorfatima4238 Hi Fatima, you should use the final degree to apply for MSc through GKS and you’ll need to use the transcript of that same degree. The application form only has provision to fill in for one degree transcript so you cant fill both CGPAs. ✨

@@J_u_s_t_ME some student’s transcript may carry their CGPA as well as a percentage based on their CGPA. If your transcript doesn’t include that then refer to Appendix A. CGPA conversion table to find your score percentage (percentile) according to your CGPA
