Elevated

Here's "Elevated", a reel written by Caitlin Nic Gabhann. She plays it in A on her album and it sounds good on the flute in A as well!
The Maple Leaf

The Maple Leaf. I learned this off of the 2001 album "The Maple Leaf" which I just recently discovered. It's on Spotify and I'd highly recommend it!
Trip to Miriam's

The Trip To Miriam's. Learned this one from fiddler/composer Colin Farrell's YT tune-a-day of all-original tunes - it's the first video. Brian Finnegan did an awesome version of this in D, google "Brian Finnegan Road to Errogie Set", it's the first tune of the set. Technically easier to play in D but it sounds really good in A (and probably easier for fiddlers?)
Teach Solais

This one is called Teach Solais (The Lighthouse). I had the A part written for some time and finally came up with the B. Format is AAB which is kinda weird, but I think it works! It's pretty hornpipey, but I like it as a reel. Enjoy!

Here's an arrangement on Irish bouzouki of the popular old time tune "Jack of Diamonds" (aka "Rye Whiskey" or "Drunken Hiccups") probably best popularized by North Carolina fiddler Tommy Jarrell. This arrangement is based on a version on the 1984 recording "No One To Bring Home Tonight" by Brad Leftwich and Linda Higginbotham. An Irish jig antecedent to this tune goes by the name of "My Name is...

A setting of the tune "The View Across the Valley" played on Irish flute and bouzouki, with looper
Is that a Grinter flute?
Modern technology goes well with traditional music in this performance.

That was lovely! Nice to hear this on flute👍 I’ve only ever heard it on whistles. Fantastic playing!
love the looping and playing overall. Is this how you do your gigs?
Thanks Anton! Yeah pretty much, though now with a bit of bodhran instead of that djembe. I also have some specific arrangements of tunes where I'll have two different zouk riffs going and I'll kind of layer it a bit more. I should do a new video...
Thumbs up Great take on the tune Chris :) Is that a P.W Crump Bouzouki ?? I got a P.W Crump Cittern lll
Thanks Scott - yup it's a P.W. Crump :)
