I have a question. I’m looking into getting 9 in machine for embossing, and I was wondering something. Looking at the top dial it shows die cutting, 2D embossing/letter press, and 3D embossing. What is letter pressing? I’m fairly new to some of this. Thanks.

I saw that there was a magnetic platform for the 6” Bira. It wouid be nice if a magnetic platform was offered wirh the 9” machine and also available seperately for those that might want that as an option. I have the 9” machine and I love it. I love that it does it all! It can use the foiling and letterpress devices offered by other companies, as well as embossing, die cutting and it even works with steel rule dies! Up till now my Sizzix Big Shot was my primary machine ( I have several other machines that I’d use when I couldn’t use the Big Shot) but I think this 9” Bira will be my primary machine now! I have used 8 different die cutting machines , manual and electric, so I’m experienced wieh die cutting machines. The Bira is simply amazing! Great price, compact design, and does it all!
I bought this over 8 months ago, praying it would be something I loved. The price was right for me, and I thought the dials were exactly what is needed for getting the right pressure. I was not disappointed at all! I love it! It is the best machine out there in my opinion. :)
I am watching this because i just cannot make mind work.
I absolutely love my 6" machine and choose this over both my Spellbinders Platinum 6 and my Gemini Jr machines for everyday use. I am a paper crafter and almost exclusively die cut and emboss cardstock ranging from 80 lb. to 120 lb. in weight. I get 100% consistent results every time. No disconcerting cracking sounds, no plate warping, and while the cutting mat does need to be replaced to do so is cost effective. I typically replace my cutting mat once a year. I also love the 13" surface. I can either many items or just put a few at the top and roll back and forth. Easy peasy. Thank you Bira Craft for creating such an innovative and reliable die cutting and embossing machine!

Is it possible to adjust for 4 holes in a A5 paper?
Does the machines work with 3d embossing folders? I just bought 6 new folders so want to use the 3d folders on them. 🌿🌺🌿
Yes, it does, just remove the top platform altogether and roll it through for thick, 3D folders. Then you can adjust the pressure to tighter if desired. It is one tip we've been meaning to add to our video.
@@biracraft2791 l am having a problam with some of the folders blending over the paper where there shouldn't be anything. And if l go smaller to keep from getting them, then l don't see my 3d effects either.

I'm really new and confused. Will the due leave a mark on the cutting mat? Or am I doing something wrong? I'm scared I'm going to ruin my new toy. I have watched this video twice. Help????
Hello Lori. Yes, the cutting mat should get marks on it from the dies. But only the cutting mat. It is normal to need to replace cutting mats depending on use. Also, please be sure to flip over and use both sides as well as place the dies in different parts of the cutting surface for longer life. I'm a a bit confused with the embossing die. Why do you have to run it through two times? I thought I just watched a video of the Sissix ( making Tim Holtz Village), and it only went through once. This was a big item I want to make and just want clarity. Would a embossed die need to be run through 2 times on any machine, or just this one?
Hello Katy. No, you should not have to run it through twice. Let us solve this for you. I'm sure you're using the setting adjustments and checking that the machine is set to 2D or 3D embossing. We also need to know the sandwich you are making and what kind of embossing folders (2D or 3D). This is my first and favorite die cut machine. But I do use it platform side down. Now I see this, I don’t know if it matters which side is up or why. It’s a nice big machine. I was naive and thought my dies would live in the little compartments but… ( look over at box overflowing with die cuts) I was naive if I thought I’d me satisfied with only a few.

Huh, I always put the platform on the bottom.

Does this machine cut felt?
The mini machine is mainly for cardstock and similar materials, although some customers are able to use thin sheets of felt successfully with the dies. For many other materials, like thicker felt, cloth, leather, faux leather, vinyl, cork and more, many customers love our 6 or 9 inch adjustable cutting and embossing machines.
I just ordered this on Etsy and hoping to get it soon! I got an A6 binder for work, and finding quality A6 hole punches is difficult. Thank you so much for the video guide, and I can't wait until mine arrives!

The diameter of the hole is 5.5mm
Just received the 12x12 scoreboard. Great for scoring, but have not been able to figure out the A2 envelop even though I followed the video. Cannot figure out how you get an A2 out of a square 8x8 piece of paper scored on all fours sides an equal 3 1/2 inches. I keep getting a square with no extra to tape together. Another poduct (won't mention name) gives to dimensions to alter with as you go around, giving a rectangle, as that is what an A2 is.
My apologies. I went back and watched the video again (twice) and caught where you match the score line. It might be helpful to point that out in the video.

Sure, you can. As long as any dies can fit through the 9 inch opening, you're good to go. We also just introduced our own Bira Steel Rule Die sets. Is it possible to hole punch B6 size? I've read that the ring mechanism for personal, personal wide, and b6 are all the same. Would this hole punch work? I don't really want to have to go out and buy a separate punch for a b6 if I can help it

Ah ha! Was just going to purchase a mini from another brand that has let me down on other products - like a score board that is 1/16+ of an inch off - and a vid for Bira Craft shows up. I really love their stamp positioner over the other (really expensive) brands. Thanks!
