Thank you very much for performing this piece. The reason I listened? Since Covid began 5 years ago I've been self-isolating as I don't want the complications of Long Covid, & that includes going to Mass online. The parish I tune in to in England has very good classical music during Mass, but they tend to turn the recording off before the organist has finished his postlude & sometimes during the final Marian hymn, which I think is impolite. So I came to RUclips looking for someone playing what we should have heard at the end of our service! Thank you very much for your inspired playing, & I've subscribed to your channel. Echoes of the Bach Passacaglia in Cm

Both the instrument and the improvisation are just marvellous. Wish the sound quality was better, but that's indeed a minor issue compared to a complete loss by not recording it at all! :-) P.S. These string stops at the beginning are definitely the most charming ones I've ever heard.

This is probably my favourite Widor piece, I've heard it countless times, I've played it a few times too and I have to say Woaw! Rhythmically absolutely precise, the tempo is absolutely drifting and the whole thing has a great energy, we can say maybe it's just a pity it's not on Cavaillé-Coll, But at that moment I think even Widor would have given a standing ovation. Bravo !

Nice to hear the 1887 version, which is the one I also play. Widor's later thoughts on this movement were not an improvement IMHO

I apologize if this is old hat to you sir. I have recently watched your documentary on Shakespeare. With the exposure of the occult in recent back and front channel news sources I have found that Epstein Island has a similar set up as oak island. (Rosicrucian cross) And as america was being formed around this time I wondered if you have considered that oak and little st james are two markers on a global map. Perhaps the third point lands in america? Again forgive me if this has been beaten about already.

why couldnt they just keep it original? that console doesnt at all look like suitable for a CC organ really, such a failure under human's size desires :/

Yes! One of my favourites by Widor! There's something so majestic about this piece. Very well executed! I heard this in Nidarosdomen some years ago. The arrangement for organ and orchestra (with TSO and Jan Magne Draagen) This piece always give me goosebumps.

Love the dynamics in this, and the stop combinations. And ofcourse very well played! Don't know what imperfections you are on about ;-)
