I cleaned the pilot area as instructed, but it didn't solve the ignition problem. However, his final comment did the trick, that was to clean the various electrical connections coming into the pilot/gas assembly to ensure good contact. That solved the problem, works like new now. Thanks.

Hi there, 10/10/24 and this video helped me replace my broken shower handle, $10.38 @ Home depot, had to make 2 trips, pick up the wrong one,first time, Thanks for sharing 👍🏾

On my bathtub, the hot water nozzle came off or I should say handle and I tried immediately put it back on and now it’s stripped, but then when I stepped out of the tub, I found the white little piece that probably should’ve went in like a nut or a bolt and now I can’t get the handle off to put that back inany recommendations on how to pull the handle off? It just keeps spinning around.

So mine was leaking and i removed the stem and now the whole seat broke or something. I put everything back and now it more than a leak 😪😪😪.

How do you get a handle off if you have a stripped screw? My screw is stripped. I've tried an extractor but it didn't work.

A plumber told me that when fixing leaks on bathtub faucets be sure to turn off your whole water supply before starting. Because the hot and cold water pipes are connected. So you could get water flowing out if you only cut off one water source. Some people's whole water supply may be in their yards like mine.

I just replaced the handle identical to this but still haven't solved the one problem. When I screw in the screw, the water starts to turn on. (I have a push/pull type). I have to unscrew it and manually push it in to stop the water. It seems the screw is either too long or something. I can't tell. The screw that came with the set is what I am using. I'll keep trying but any recommendations would be helpful.

I read some of comments but not all. One poo-pooed this video. Well, I took some sand paper and tried what video said. At first, I didnt even think mine was dirty and also did not think the sandpaper did anything. But on closer inspection, I did see some cleaner spots. So then I went at it it two cylindrical metal areas since both had residue. Went and turned breaker back on, lit the pilot, flipped the switch, came right on. Beautiful. As far as color of pilot flame, blue. Color of fireplace flame, blue with some orange here and there. Not concerned about much right now...I got fire! And a fire place that lights when I hit the switch.
