How can I diagnose if this is my issue?

I just got off the phone with my local Apple authorized repair center and they said this cable is replaceable and only around $30 for the part? Why would you go through the trouble of doing this if the cable can be replaced and is only $30 for OEM part from Apple?

I have a ms906ts that will show charging if I take it apart and put it back together. But will only turn on intermittently. Fine as long as I leave it on. Touch screen don't work so I use a USB keyboard. But I get continuity when I press the on/off button. Sometimes it comes on. Does any of this sound familiar to you???

i was at this tech repair store to get my dji mini 3 pro fixed today. the guy that owns this place is a very smart, polite, and patient man. from what i know now he is the go to tech store in framingham mass. I really recommend this place to get your stuff fixed if you live in Massachusetts he has a broad range of tech that he fixes. thank you for fixing my drone.

Is that magnetic piece the part that is calibrated to the original MacBook? Is that why you replaced the old magnet onto the new lid sensor strip?

Thanks for posting! I just ordered one. Hoping I can repair this myself. The company that makes these only solution when this happens is “order another”. wtf? This is a flaw in your design and this thing is expensive. If I knew this was going to happen I’d never have ordered one in the first place.
