Tribute To Al Marino
Al E. Marino was born Elwyn Alfonso Marino on October 10, 1937, in Portland, Oregon. He died January 30, 2021, at home in Gresham, Oregon. He had a happy childhood, growing up with siblings Lenny, Jean, Joan and sister Charlene. Al was 14 when Charlene was born.
Al led an adventuresome life on all fronts. He was married four times and had seven children, all of whom he loved and was proud of. Al and his third wife Betty were married for 50 years. Al's family grew to include 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Of Italian ancestry, it's no surprise that Al adored his big family.

    The fact that the Marines have to allow religious materials into boot camp makes the entire concept of the military and war a farce or it makes a farce of religion. The idea that so many in the military are far right and embrace Christianity is really quite scary.

      There is no discrimination in the US military. That includes religion. It's ok BLAB, serving your country wouldn't be your strong suit anyway.

    • @BLAB-it5un
      @BLAB-it5un Год назад

      @@funkster007 Keep your delusions and fantasies to yourself. The purpose of the US military is to promote the US religion. Which is disgraceful. And embarrassing. And must stop. Having people who think a god exists and empowers them to kill other people are not those that should be defending me. Or you. Or us. Religions are the cause of most wars. And for humans to survive loyalty to country over all else - or as those who want to control America, god and country - must end. America claiming to be better than everyone else and saying their god says so is part of why the world is such a mess. Ever notice that most other countries make the same claim and that wars happen because both demand to be right? Religion has no place in a military. Period.

    • @donmcc6573
      @donmcc6573 Год назад

      The left hates America and it's military.

    • @BLAB-it5un
      @BLAB-it5un Год назад

      @@funkster007 Keep your brainwashing to yourself. To think the US military is a healthy, honorable place to be is delusional. And to claim that it doesn't discriminate is laughably naive. I serve my country by not supporting its evil military and wars. And its delusions about religion. But nice of you to think you have the right to claim superiority over me. Thanks for proving my point. I wouldn't wish military service on my worst enemy. Stop pretending it doesn't destroy most of the people it cons into serving its evil intentions. The irony is lost on you that the evil military machine you defend is allegedly fighting for, among other things, the right of freedom of speech. Yet when a US citizen questions its military all bets are suddenly off. You demand I keep silent and accept your delusions as fact with no awareness you are contradicting your own propaganda.
