    One of the last step is to read and take the simple exam from the state aviation where you live. Not sure every state required this. The state where I live, I need to complete this and print the permit after the exam and carry along with FAA license.

    I tried the "Free" course, I put in my email to enroll for free, it was going well, but after the first 5 two minute lessons when I went to the next one it said lesson content locked. it said enroll to continue, which was confusing since I had already received an email saying that I was enrolled. when you click the button, it asks for $199 to enroll. What is free about that? does anyone know where I can actually learn the test content?

    Not the FAA, but there are other companies that are working with the FAA to prove that unmanned flights are safer than the world thinks it is, and part of that is being about to accurately tell when a drone is active in the air space. Look up NUAIR. their technology actually can tell when you turn on, just the controller in their drone corridor.

    Umm, there is much more to consider than the cost of the software. Photogrammetry is dying out, clients want LiDAR now and not only are the sensors expensive but licences are nuts per anum.

    • @DroneLaunchAcademy
      @DroneLaunchAcademy 6 дней назад

      Many people we talk to are just wanting to get some practice under their belt. Thus cost is a primary concern when starting out. Vidar is definitely getting more popular. But it just depends on the client.

    • @DroneLaunchAcademy

      Good question. I would imagine it just needs to be registered as a Part 107 registration (vs. recreational). There aren’t any regs I’ve seen that specify only operating drones that are registered to you.

    I’m not sure this video answered the question. Can someone in real estate (non part 107 licensee) use video shot by a part 107 licensee for business purposes (post on SM). In the question there seems to be a business relationship between the real estate person and the sUAS licensee in which videography was the product used for real estate SM advertisement. Why couldn’t someone hire another for a specific job/product? Maybe I’m missing something.

    The FAA does not issue licences to pilots. A 747 pilot does not have a licence to fly. The FAA issues certificates for each kind of aircraft, including several levels of drones. If you must act like a teacher, please learn the proper terminology.

    • @DroneLaunchAcademy
      @DroneLaunchAcademy 19 дней назад

      We discuss the proper terminology inside the video. People don’t search for drone certificate. They search for drone license. Have to target what people search and then educate afterwards. 👍

    Basically it seems like you can't fly over people/cars. I don't get what all these classifications are for beyond classification 1 if they all say "you can't fly over people" ? Sure, classifcation 1, under .55 lbs and prop guards. This seems super clear that if you have a drone with those specs, you can fly over people. All the rest basically say "no".

    • @mr_agave
      @mr_agave 2 дня назад

      You can fly over, you just can't operate over, big difference. So long as you're not hovering and maintaining operations over people/cars and transiting, you're good.

  • @sauzachn

    • @DroneLaunchAcademy

      you can always look up your license on the FAA airmen database to see if they have a record of it (if you ever got a card form the FAA in the mail, it should still be in their system). If you've done the recurrent training in the last 24 calendar months, you should be good to go!

    So I'm kinda confused about a couple of things. If I bought a drone to fly for fun, could I not fly it at all, like not even in my backyard? And if I wanted to make a town reel to start a photo/video portfolio, how would I go about doing so if I want to capture all the cool places I want to capture if there only two areas in my town that allow drones?

    • @DroneLaunchAcademy
      @DroneLaunchAcademy 27 дней назад

      if you purchased a newer drone, it likely already came with Remote ID functionality built in. Thus, it would be compliant for you to fly it anywhere as long as you were following other airspace rules. If it's an older or custom built drones, you can throw an add-on remote ID module on there.
