Pretty interesting what he say! 1. He defeated blaze and got the godly power 2. But that power was too much so even his armor protected him by release that energy what he can’t handle and got others around him! 3. It had 2 effects; A. Who could not handle he/she died… B. Who could handled got similar power level 4. He only protecting his own realm he even stated so left the pyramid 5. He stated the armageddon not ended because he stov off it UNTIL find a solution!!! So
this ending leads to the reboot. when the excess energy went to each of the Kombatants, it likely empowered each of them further. Shao Kahn at the beginning of IX seemed to have the power of Blaze and Raiden was able to send memories of the timeline to the past self. none of this would be possible if blaze's power wasn't sent to the Kombatants and empowered them all. the result was each kombatant getting so strong that they did eventually kill each other the normal way. this is likely a Highlander scenario where there could only be one and if you killed a kombatant, you absorbed their power.

@@Shiobana753 It wouldn't hurt for Netherrealm Studios to do an alternate universe type of game or at least an animated movie of what would have happened after the events of Mortal Kombat Armaggedon if Blaze was never killed by Shao Kahn but by Taven like it was originally intended.

It was the first game ever that made me ugly cry. My parents thought I was crazy haha. I got so invested in the story, it felt like saying goodbye to a real friend. Love it so much. Has a special place in my child/teen years.

The canon ending to me, the reboot is just a alternate dimension.
Well it would of been canon if Midway didnt became a dead body.
If only he could have postponed Armageddon by months maybe a year.
I prefer this ending to the entire reboot.
@Hassan Lee You and I are one of the few, my friend. I respect the hard work and excellent game mechanics of the reboot but I would rather they just stick to ONE TIMELINE. Now it's a complete and total mess. More confusing than anything else.

me too it really annoyed me when they did that but at all the while I think they've made some solid with choices with the story and characters. It's just regrettable how they abandoned a good storyline and direction. For what? Politics? Money? Seemed desperate and non-sensical it was one those few times I even ask the question.
we could say Taven defeated Blaze but then Shao Khan came on top with this power boost, and then came the events of mk9

I'm guessing the "Unforseen Consequence" was everyone getting a major power boost from Blazes power meaning everyone at the battle of armageddon would be insanely powerful Hell even if Raiden didn't rewind time Shao Kahn would've gone mad anyway and died so.... Well i guess even THAT dosen't matter anymore as Liu Kang reset time
It could be that. In the arcade ending for Taven, the other's powers are amplified. It would fit how Shao Kahn was able to get free from Onaga and how the others died. Still it's speculation.
@@ZhaoYun320 The way I see it is like this. Konquest mode is canon and Taven defeats Blaze, but his ladder ending is the one that's canon. It makes sense anyway because as a result of everyone's power being amplified, they all ended up killing each other.
Yep so there is 2 case 1. Those who could not handle that power they died 2. Those who could they survived and become much stronger And what we seen somehow taven’s armor shared the power with others in the area… maybe it was a safety code because he would die from that much of power and only got that much what he can handle… so shao kahn got power and started the event of the mk9! And still taven said he just slowing the armageddon until he can find a solution which mean it’s still exist and he just somehow slowing the whole process
