Shit weather and isolation can make you bored lol. And no theme parks to go to especially when it's summer. Even the summers are so shit that they are more like long autumn so you have to spend more time indoors. It is not unusual to have 85% of a 25 kids in classes from 6 - 16 playing football and handball / basketball. It was like that when I was a kid. The same reason why Icelanders read a lot and have propably the highest % of writers per cap. Then you have many of the kids who are not into sports almost always playing some kind of instrument and express their boredom through starting bands lol. Last but not least is the comlex small nation syndrome which is the deep longing for acception and to be noticed and seen very similar to how the youngest child in the family is often desperate for attention and acknowledgement. Especially towards you Danish people 😅 we see you as an older brother we are desperate not to lose to since we were under your ruling till 1944 lol.
