I don't know why people hate this show so much. I've read the books, seen the films, etc.. I love this show.

This shows how she is the evil one on this series.. a guy that she likes and who likes her back asks her for help to keep him in the light and to save the world but she says no just out of prejudice because he is "Sauron". The darkness was inside of her and her mistake made many suffer for many many years.
