Correct wiring from breakout board to dq2722m to stepper motors for dm45 rf45 clone cnc conversion mill
Robert, After having you PM 1236 for 9 years can you tell us how you are liking it. What's the pro's and con's of this machine? What is you primary use of your machine?
Doesn’t look like your tool has been set parallel with your chuck.
Nice tutorial video to help me,work jobsheet in the my school
Thank you for very helpful video. I am trying to use a proximity sensor connected to the index in the mach3 board but although I got dignal in the index when I turn on the spindle I have no value in the trou s. Sn jdea eill help. Thank you Dennis Anghelatos
hi, which do you use mach 3 card? I try rnr motion ,but it did not run
With the frosted bullets and lead smear on the bottom of the spru plate, you need to turn your temperature down. Looks like you're casting a little too hot.
Mold wasn't hot if you get wrinkles. Next time wet your towel till almost dripping
Not trash, remember and cast again
Ciao amico. Bel video istruttivo. Posso chiedere dove hai preso questa versione di schermata .set . La mia non è completa come la tua. Grazie
Running mach3 on a microwave? ;)

The bottom moves up when you raise the die. I was wondering same thing when I got mine because there is not a collet screw on top like some have. Also I’ve heard this die won’t crimp Hornady Lever Evolution 325 gr FTX bullets because Hornady’s brass is shorter than normal rds. I guess you have everything figured out by now because I see this video is 7 years old.
Do it the other way, put the cloth on the inside of the plastic tube
hello im trying to do the same. Do you solve the problem? I see you your tacometer conect with mcuh 3 with index i think and for your splindle what motor are you using? how do you controler with pwm?
I cant believe you've seen it 16k times
Looks like you got a mold and fungus problem lol.
hello, when threading, the cutter brings it to the start and waits for threading on the cycle. G code generated through the master. I can't find the reason, or maybe there was an error in the G code?
Take square pice of HSS-bar and clamp it in and adjust your vice with that. (that's the way how I learned it)
Lorpix thank you
@@robertlanham8076 I just realized my spelling mistake, I meant HSS
Looks like the jaws may have a slight crown. If you got a surface grinder that should take care of it man. Nice set up by the way!
TheSpaceCowboy thanks
If you need it dead nuts on, add material by welding and grind down. If you don't need metal you can use some kind of epoxy and grind down. If you are only using it temporarily, create a jig.
Yeah, your jaws aren't square. If everything else is lined up, the jaws have a very shallow curve in them. But the manufacturer probably claims a 2.5th +/- or more tolerance. How precise do you need to be? I'm not a machinist but that's pretty good run-out.
it would be better if you observed how to use a real cnc lathe.
rdrhouse thanks I agree

how to wiring encorder to BOB mach3
Perhaps the problem is you don't know the difference between a lathe and a mill. Just sayin.
Star Gazer @meatgazer. Perhaps you be may right?
Coat your mold in 3and1 oil with a shop rag every use and lead will not stick to it
Bro work on them damn toenails...they got meds for that shit....😂
Divets are caused because your mold wasn’t hot enough
Try watching this and use a proper screwing tip.ruclips.net/video/psZ01YOVfmw/видео.html
How fix half nut not idea
0:32 everytime you start real cnc you have to go home 5 of 7 our machines force you go home.. well you home machine why not end of job go home. it will be zero next time you powerup
Did you ever figure out how to do threading reliably in Mach3 turn? I'm struggling with it now and other than your video there are surprisingly few people trying to do it.
AndreBAnderson I stopped messing with it years ago. I will try do do some videos after the holidays so if you want to subscribe to my channel you will see them sometime in February
it works well once u know how to use it, it took me a while to figure it out also
Worthless ramblings. ...waste of time, just stop posting
DIP STICK.......................
Yeah check if PUL and DIR are set active low in the control. I usually put constant +5v on both PUL+ and DIR+ and run ‘active low’. (So pul- and Dir- are signal in from the bob) Either way should work. I’ve had that before it was just a matter of Checking connections and checking software settings.
Still watching voltage readouts..... AWESOME... and totally helpful....
what are you helping / hurting with ??? WHY ARE YOU POSTING THIS?
greg l I don't remember
Don't use towels
If you use a quality powder the shake and bake works great. I like East wood For Lt Blue
Best regards: Can you tell me how you configurate index debounce and other parameters of mach 3 for threading?
Brother there is nothing wrong with your tools or you know how or even your lather :) Give it time, You are learning pretty quickly by your self and this is all of us are doing. I bout a small Holzmann 403 lathe and I have learned so so much on this small lathe and I had the same problems as you. You have to have different size sheem I think its called in English so you can raise the Tool holder as much as you need too or lower it down. Good Luck
vision does not sell the cast anymore, they sell only forged ones now much better than cast.
thanks william, have you purchased one?
robert lanham yes I bought a 6.5 Grendel with 18" ss barrel. First shot this weekend and it shot perfect about 200 rounds no issues.
Some of your problem I think is the procedure your using and the insert tool doesn't look like it's a threading style or the wrong insert. Let's start from the set up did you set your tool height to the center of the work piece , next did you use the fish tale to center the tool to the edge of the work piece. Did you set your compound to 29 degrees or 30 Next did you take a just barely touching cut. Then Ck with you screw pitch gage for correct number of threads. Now you find you total depth of cut on some fishtails . Zero your cross slide at your just touch on part. Your feed will be thecompound taking light cuts 5 thousands per cut is plenty and use coolant on steel oil works aluminum wd40 works. After the cut gets to the length you want back the slide off from the work piece. Go back reset to zero set the compound another 5 and pick up the same line or number or letter on you LATHES threading gage. Before you get to the max depth of cut take some cuts with out turning it to cut deeper. Spring cuts we call that. When near the depth stop and try your nut with it still in the lathe if it's too tight take another cut with a thousandth or two. Repeat till it fits with light resistance. Hit the threads lightly with a file to knock off the sharp edges. The best thing to do is watch some threading on RUclips . Your tool holders may need milling flat on the bottom of each one . There made in China we see all kinds of uneven ones. Hope this helps a little.
Silverbullet thanks so much for the comment. I've picked up a lot more knowledge on threading since the video was posted and am doing what you said in your comment. My threading still needs improvement because of speeds and feeds.
It's plain to see, that slot is not cut square . At least you figured it out.
Nice start of the video dude )
Where are you posting these videos? I would like to read up on this too.
clay, im posting to hobbymachinist.com verry good forum
please get a tripod... your video made me motion sick
You have open air lead around your kids. You need to get them checked for lead!!!!!!! If you hug them after going to the range STOP. STOP CASTING LEAD IN YOUR BACKYARD, THE FUMES ARE SETTLING IN YOUR YARD!!!!!!
What in the wide world of sports are you talking about
I think somebody was smoking some lead. Wash your hands, don't let your kids put bullets, fishing weights or old Dungeons and Dragons lead figurines in their mouth and cast in a well ventilated area. I mean really, when we were kids we played with lead ALL THE TIME! That doesn't mean it is good, but take some rational precautions and everything will be fine.
I use these for my 300 too. Work great at sub velocities. I lube with lee alox and push them slow with a reduced buffer spring from midway because I found the factory 5.56 spring caused cycling issues. As you cast you'll get better at it. I found that I have to increase my heat for large grain bullets (such as large black powder) and I can run my furnace cooler for small cavity bullts such as .38 caliber revolver. Its well worth the investment as it will cost you so much less to shoot.
Suggestion: tell people it didn't work in the video description. I was all excited, and then...what a letdown.
Yep, I should have done that. When I get back from va beach I'm going to try threading again and if I get it working I'll post a video. I don't know why it's so hard to thread in Mach turn. Have you had any success?
