@reformedsoteriology that's where the class originates from ... and it is a good fit for a WoW game. Almost all play rules of WoW stems from D&D

@@anrexfk no, I agree Bard is a good fit. I just think his idea for how it would work is too far from D&D concept. Bard needs to have melee options. it should be more akin to a shaman and less like a mage that uses music.

@reformedsoteriology there is no physical way to explain how bards would work as a melee class. Bards are pure buffers with very little offensive capabilities

Well that's the proximity system. Like your damage scales in combat depending on how close you are to your targets. Also the combo of channeling musical notes is similar to the new evoker abilities but adding in more flare with combo points and not casting the same ability twice

The way I saw it is after the world soul saga we explore more of azeroth and that's where we meet the thraegar earthen that use this magic. And wow can have a funny whimsical but at the same time dramatic and energy filled xpac exploring the power of music while finding out more about the unknown world

@@AyeAndBeeGaming Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, your idea is cool, but you had to apply a whole new zone and concepts that transverse WoW's usual thematic. We can do everything like this. It felt like in MOP: I know Pandaria story was incredible, but Pandas and Monks were not the most popular thing... I feel WoW is predominently a bit more Edgy and dramatic like Legion, for example.
