O my stars, I was like 8, 9 in the early 90s when this was on. It's so refreshing to watch this show now at 38 and ACTUALLY get all the jokes and inuendos and parenthetical references. Jim and Damon and Kim are AMAZING here 😂 funny afffff

Still this skit is oddly appropriate since the Nation of Islam teaches that its founder, Wallace Fard Muhammad, boarded a UFO when he disappeared in 1934. Additionally, in 2011 the delusional yet smug Louis Farrakhan spoke to a packed house as part of the annual celebration of Saviours’ Day. His speech capped a weekend of workshops focused on health, preparing for natural disasters, and unidentified flying objects. Farrakhan spoke for four hours, during which he described his 1985 religious experience in which he ascended into a flying saucer and heard the voice of Elijah Muhammad. Farrakhan also praised Scientology and its founder, L. Ron Hubbard and extolled the virtues of its "auditing" process. One nutcase giving homage to another.

Let me get this straight. Farrakhan tears into Kirk for making Uhura take his calls and Sulu be his driver. Yet when he takes over, he basically makes them do the same thing.

And they dont use money in star trek. And you would not believe how progressive gene Roddenberry was during star trek. He wanted to have an lgbt episode but the network refused. But star trek at the time was the most progressive show in the 1960's.
