I thought grizzlies and Kodiak bears were sub species of brown bears. I mean it doesn't really matter as technically they're all related. Black bears are brown during certain seasons.

Kodiak and Grizzlies are Brown Bears , subspecies of the same animal Brown Bear ,like the Eurasian Brown Bear . Black American Bears are not Brown Bears.

They are the same as black bears as color does not change that they are the same kind of bear.@@monicabolognini7962

markv1 no but does not mean she is nearby. But those are the two reasons for fights. Bears will play fight for fun but combat is for dominance or mating rights the sow could be close

They would have kicked our behinds. But if I had not been in the hide they would have ran away from me as they are very scared. Accidents is if you are unlucky and run in to one of them having babies

Cheers! I was very lucky to get to see this action. Im sitting in a hide as the bears are very scared of humans. Around here they only people having got attacked is if they are unlucky to encounter a bear with a baby
