disclaimer. this is just my opinion and should not be used as anything other than my thoughts and feelings on the game. it is not consumer adivce. apologies in advance i recorded in 60FPS and rendered in 30fps. like i said i'm not a computer buff so if it looks like the other rides or trrack is a bit glitchy thats my bad :(

I'm a bit confused. The steering of my bike is too twitchy/quick. Do I move linearity up or down to rectify this?
Linearity up to make the input range longer and more controlable

I take back my comment, the triggers dont work on the xbox controller hooked to the switch. Damn it.
These newer GP games suck. The bike isnt even connected to the track it just skates across the top. There was more feeling and connection with the bike back in 2003 Moto GP 3. Plus you didnt have 10million options to figure out. Not gonna relive my glory days it seems. F this game.
Ok the triggers do work. Its just extremely sensitive for the gas.
Why wont my triggers on my xbox controller analog when hooked to the switch? Does the switch not support any controller with analog triggers?
How in the world is there no throttle control? Im using xbox controller. The bike handles horribly as well. From a dead start the bike just falls over when i hit the gas.

I’m using my LT as my rear brake. Do you still think 80% is still good for linerity? I use my rear brake as primary and front brake as secondary on the A button
As a start yes but gradually as you get more comfortable increase this, the main point of it, is to build up confidence in using the rear brake without locking up the rear. Currently I’m up at 95%. Renee it’s all personal preference 🤙🏻

Nice honest review. Tbh i despise the people who buy those half-assed yearly releases (the FIFA/MADDEN/NBA subject). Because if they simply wouldn't, Milestone or whoever would (have to) make an actually good, polished game with 2-3 years dev-time. Ridiculous, capitalist BS destroys gaming (actually, it destroys everything-_-)
As for Option's, On PC, I have to use a joy stick does any know if the game can be set-up to use these instead of the Game pad controller? (The reason is disablement) before you laugh to much.. I can outplay a game pad with the stick on other games like TT lsand of man and its sidecar add-on... Top 20!

It works with any controller, I just play on Xbox

Excellent video & advice. This has made this game playable, for me anyway, and enjoyable. I’m no longer just concentrating on getting the braking ‘just right’ in order to get one clean lap in!

Hmm that’s weird.. it should be under control configuration and then you have the first page: all your buttons and then press Rb/R1 and that should be control calibration

nah i tried not much different, you should just practice improving the braking only don't do a lot changes, the more you change the more its uncomfortable. Maybe you should just focus on racing line and bike setup to decrease the stoppies
The short shifting and how early you get down to the low gear before the Apex surprises me. Nice lap m8
It’s a bit of a trade off in that lower traction means less electronic interference but you get more loss of traction. So far short shifting was the only way I could find to cope with it that didn’t involve refining my hammer finger touch 😂

Is the game playable now? I'd like to buy the game because is on sale now but the don't convince me, especially when I see that they don't accelerate fully on the straights and it makes playing unenjoyable :/
Yes would definitely recommend getting it on sale. It’s been improved since I made this review the Ai are more challenging in MotoGP than any other class. Just be prepared to take a few days to get used to it.

@@viciousviolet3783 Motogp 20 is super fun, I have 21 also but have been enjoying 20 a lot recently. I will give 21 more time later I just felt it was tamer and need to be even more careful and brake even earlier which steals a bit of the thrilling sense of speed and that awesome feeling of pushing it to the limit that 20 have. For me 20 is the perfect balance of pure fun bike gaming and still being sim enough to require more from you than just casually picking it up and ride perfect after 15 minutes. You need to be focused and small mistakes make you fly off still. In 21 all this is here but with everything tuned up you also tend to ride slower and be more careful which to me remove fun factor. With that said 21 is what you need to get if interested in online mode since 20 seem pretty dead. I liked both games and I think if I give 21 more time and tweak my bike more that I can get it to feel more like 20 but I leave that unsaid if it's possible. So from my experience so far Motogp 20 is a bit more action and fun. I actually played a few hours of 21 and then went back to 20 and the sense of acceleration, the lighter more responsive bike that twitches at the rear when pushing corners, the overall sense of speed and fear of crashing because of it is just so cool. Then add to that the perfect controller input to bike translation and well, I went from having pretty fun in 21 to having a smile on my face in 20 while racing.

this is good for new players. but if u wanna be competitive then u must get used to the braking.
Being competitive is also about not crashing every time you apply the brakes 😂. I know what you’re saying but for some people just being able to brake without endo will allow them to be competitive. You can still be fast with this setup but yes you can be faster with other settings.

Very concisely explained, thank you. Indeed, dropping the saturation on the front brake eliminates the endo and makes it a tonne easier to settle the bike before the corner. Makes it more enjoyable for folk who are struggling with this year's physics. It would be great if it was possible to save calibrations (mappings) for certain tracks e.g. Sachsenring with less braking power and more concentration on fluidity of transitions. Great vid.
Thanks for the kind words bud. And 100% agree that it would be nice to save presets. I wonder if they could link it to a setup... that way you could load your specific track setup with a specific track controller calibration. I might put it forward to milestone.

That’s exactly it! It’s not going to make you as fast as trastevre or anything like that but it will make playing the game a little easier for those who find it difficult.
The game is broken. The endos are insane. The fact that people have overcome this flaw doesn't mean it doesn't need fixing. This is basically a FIX, not an aid or assist.

It may not be for everyone but I found the amount of control you now have makes it so much better 👌🏻 more options is always better

I’ll work on it with an explanation of the assists as well but the main reason is so I can run manual gears.
120% AI, in the wet, from the back, wow. Great video bro. Thanks for the tips about Le Mans. I'd like to speak on my current state of the game. I'm struggling to find enjoyment with '21 and considering going back to '20 and living happily ever after. My riding style was so rear brake biased in '20, I have struggled to find any feel on corner entry. As far as tuning goes, it seems like the stock setup is the fastest. It is almost like there is no point in learning the new tunable parts of the bike. I've stayed in career mode on a Moto 3 bike because the GP bikes are unrideable, impossible to get slowed to make them turn. Thanks for the great content and I'm looking forward to the next one. I felt the same way but going backwards is not the way forwards. I’d persist with pending updates to come I think they will make some physics changes for sure and if not they have roadmapped controller adjustment changes which hopefully will make riding those GP bikes a bit more doable. Setup wise 100% agree. Although I haven’t spent much time tweaking, I’ve heard the same opinions echo’d that standard is good. My advice is to take it back a notch, I found breaking earlier but less hard helped even with rear brake carry the speed into turns because the front end really sticks and you can trail brake so long as you aren’t 100% on the brakes into the apex. We can run some laps next time we’re on 👌🏻

Well you're not wrong. The brakes in this game are pretty bad. There are other things like the tracks rendering/loading while you race, weird tire wear etc. But yeah it isn't as enjoyable as I'd like.

Very interesting mate! 👍🏻 It’s odd for me because I haven’t encountered such bugs as riders constantly crashing and that weird glitch where the rider is behind the bike 😂 and nor the time trial bug. I think the “s**t” sandwich was a great idea, I’ve always looked at things the same way. Start positive and end positive! Good stuff. I think your point about the game being half finished and still being full priced is not just milestone, unfortunately gaming in general is like this, constant unfinished games and lots of bugs. The last games I purchased that didn’t have bugs or issues were Nintendo games but every other game usually bites me in the bum with some unfinished parts or bugs. You opened my eyes on the penalties. I never thought of how other players would abuse it on shorter lap races. I would propose that they reduce the amount of penalties given in shorter races. So if it’s less than 7 laps for example it should only be 3 warnings. Also it’s 3 seconds for not adhering to the long lap penalty... it’s really not enough it needs to be a ride through penalty or black flag. Good stuff though mate, I could listen to you talk passionately about bike games and racing more often 👍🏻👍🏻 keep it up mate ♠️
Yeah I never got the rider off bike bug but it was hilarious to see the videos and screenshots. I think PC suffered with less bugs this year though but it’s still the same principal and as you said, why have we now just accepted that a game will be released still in Beta 😂 the devs just need to say sorry it’s not ready we will release it in a month 🤷🏻♀️. I think for the last lap it should be as it is in real life, last lap you go wide, it’s an instant 3 second penalty but yeah I race with guys who look for exploits 😂 you’d be surprised how much of the track you can cut and only get 1 warning for it 😳 Thanks for the kind words dude 🤟🏻
