El nombre correcto es "I'm Gonna Do All I Can (To Do Right By My Man)", un tema escrito por Wayne Carson Head (alias "Tonky Thompson") en 1969 y que Ike & Tina estaban lanzando. La actuación es parte del show de "The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour" T3x25, del 13-04-1969, donde también cantaron "River Deep---Mountain High" y "Land Of 1000 Dances". PD: El grafismo de "River Deep---Mountain High" no es una errata mía. Por alguna razón tanto en las portadas como en las traseras y en los vinilos la separación se hace con uno o varios guiones; que la frase esté separada por una coma es posterior al disco de 1966 de Ike & Tina. Los "derechos" los tenía la sucursal londinense de la australiana "Belinda Ltd.", a la que los compositores Ellie Greenwich, Jeff Barry, Phil Spector también le vendieron el "By My Baby" de The Ronettes o el "Da Doo Ron Ron" de The Crystals. Eso si que era hacer negociazos. 👍👏

I have seen her twice, both times at city winery in Manhattan before I retired down south to Savannah, Georgia. She is a great singer/songwriter, and thank God that she helped save Jason Isbell from alcohol addiction, and he helped promote her because she deserves it. Great talents all around… and actually I saw her a third time at Newport folk festival 2019 with the Highwomen. GREAT!

About 3 weeks after my mom died from complications of dementia and alzheimers, the Lord brought this song to my heart as I was walking thru a grocery store. It immediately brought tears to my eyes. I felt such comfort that mom had made it home, to where she'll never be old again.

It doesn't get much better than this.
